Find the right local pro for your project

Cork’s cellular structure mimics that of a honeycomb’s, and each of the cells is filled with air. When you walk on this type of a surface, the air becomes compressed and released. This process not only absorbs the shock of impact but provides a cushioning surface, making it extremely comfortable to walk on. This same ability allows for its thermal and sound properties. Thus with cork floors, you will be insulated against sound vibration transfers thru the floor. Cork is one of the best office floor.

Achieve a Royalty Look with Calacatta Gold Tiles
We all have that dream home we want to have. Better yet, some of us dream of a fantastic renovation of our homes; transforms them into glossy nests we can always be glad to perch in. For those of us who are already on the way to the dream house, you probably are shopping for material to use. So how about we introduce you to the good old Calacatta Gold marble?
If you are asking what that is, we can say it’s a unique way of inspiring royalty to your home using tiles. Calacatta Gold is a special stone tile mined in the hearts of Italy, on the Appian Mountains. Ever since it was discovered, it has been heavily used as a floor tile as well as wall tile, creating remarkable artistic visuals with a touch of natural gold in it. Calacatta gold tile also has one unique trait you won’t notice in most tiles; you can easily mix it with other slab colors, specifically gold extra, Calacatta Borghini, Crema and Super Extra.
Calacatta gold is also one of the few tiles with a unique pencil vein detail centering the white hue background and grey veins on the tile as well. This is the perfect choice for artistic walls and floors but be sure to use the right slab colors if you want to bring in more colors; if the slab and tile don’t match in color tones then it may affect the overall look of your walls/floors.
There are plenty of places in the house you can experiment with the pristine Calacatta gold tile. How about the living room wall that is a background for your TV and home theater system? Calacatta wall tile will create a covetable golden hue that will always shine before you. Moreover, you will definitely fall in love with your walls in the morning, when a streak of sunlight illuminates the golden yellows.
Installing the beautiful Calacatta gold tile is a pretty easy job as well. However you just need to be careful to use white thinset instead of grey. White thinsets will absorb the trowel lines whereas grey may leave behind ugly marks which may taint the exquisite nature of the tiles. If you also want your Calacatta floor tile or wall tile to last longer make sure it is properly sealed with grout.
You still have that dream home in mind? We already have you covered on the best tiles to you use. Just think Calacatta gold tile all the way, all your friends will definitely take selfies beside your shiny golden walls.

Waynesboro master bath renovation in Houston, Texas. This is a small 5'x12' bathroom that we were able to squeeze a lot of nice features into. When dealing with a very small vanity top, using a wall mounted faucet frees up your counter space. The use of large 24x24 tiles in the small shower cuts down on the busyness of grout lines and gives a larger scale to the small space. The wall behind the commode is shared with another bath and is actually 8" deep, so we boxed out that space and have a very deep storage cabinet that looks shallow from the outside. A large sheet glass mirror mounted with standoffs also helps the space to feel larger.

Living rooms, family rooms and other places such as (home) libraries are a great place for an acoustic ceiling. This family room appears as if it has a comfy and quiet atmosphere, which is exactly why it was a great idea to install an acoustic ceiling into it. Rather than dispersing sound, the acoustic ceiling absorbs it, creating a unique sound enhancement in the space.

This house in the high Mesa desert of Southwestern Utah is sustainable. It is built with non-combustible fire-resistant materials of steel, concrete, copper and stucco. Water-recapturing, passive heating and passive cooling are used for a low impact on the environment and energy efficiency. Large overhanging eaves provide essential shade in the summer, solid concrete floors release the heat absorbed from the low winter sun. A skylight provides natural light to the kitchen, which is away from windows and in the center of the plan. The skylight also doubles as a solar chimney.

The previous owner was an inside smoker of 60 years, walls were stained with nicotine and a strong smell filled the home. Special preparation was needed to properly seal the substrate to block all nicotine stains and prevent tar from absorbing into our finish coat. A special shallac primer was used which blocked all stains and stench and provided a sound surface for our finish coat to adhere to. After painting was completed it couldn't be noticed it had been filled with with 60 years of daily smoking.

Floating shelves display everyday dishware above a ceramic backsplash in a 4x4 straight lay, while the tall cabinet run absorbs the microwave into a recessed niche above the ventilated vegetable drawers. The open pantry tower at right keeps dry goods accessible and integrated into the design rather than hidden away.

What we refer to as the 'Music Room' is more commonly known in a traditional home as the Family Room. This room is the home for a regular brass quintet. Acoustic ceiling 'clouds', oblique wall angles, and sound absorbing bookcase and window treatments help to control the sound characteristics of the Music Room.

Linseed oil is the most natural coating for the protection of wooden surfaces, ideal for working areas such as chopping and kneading boards.
The coating with linseed oil is not altered by temperature, is absorbed by the wood, and integrates to form a part of it.
It adapts much better to environmental humidity and helps the wood to maintain its own humidity.
Linseed oil requires maintenance every so often to keep its properties intact.
