The homeowners had recently gone through a large renovation where they added onto the existing house and upgraded all the finishes when we were hired to design two of their childrens' bedrooms. We went on create the entire dining room and living room designs. We sourced furniture and accessories for the foyer and put the finishing touches on many other rooms throughout the house. The Highland Park family of 6 aimed to create an oasis for their extended family and friends to enjoy. We added a large sectional, extra island space and a spacious outdoor setup to complete this goal. Our tile selections added special details to the bathrooms, mudroom and laundry room. The lighting lit up the gorgeous wallpaper and paint selections. To top it off the accessories were the perfect way to accentuate the style and excitement within this home! This project is truly one of our favorites. Hopefully we can enjoy cocktails in the pool soon!

We were excited that our client was happy to do a painted cabinet in a color that is not seen everyday. We just love how cozy and warm it turned out! The cabinets are custom and the tiles are hand made, adding to the charm.

So excited to share this photo of custom cocktail table from Charleston Forge. Our client wanted extra seating that she could tuck away when not needed. We designed this beautiful iron and glass table with very specific measurements. It stores 4 leather ottomans underneath. We added nail trim to the ottomans to show off their hourglass figures. Sophisticated and fun were the themes in this design. This bathroom is used by three young children. The parents wanted a bathroom whose decor would be fun for the children, but "not a kiddy bathroom". This family travels to the beach quite often, so they wanted a beach resort (emphasis on resort) influence in the design. Storage of toiletries & medications, as well as a place to hang a multitude of towels, were the primary goals. Besides meeting the storage goals, the bathroom needed to be brightened and needed better lighting. Ocean-inspired blue & white wallpaper was paired with bright orange, Moroccan-inspired floor & accent tiles from Fireclay Tile to give the "resort" look the clients were looking for. MA Peterson took an old concrete basement and turned it into a space filled with excitement and beauty. It started by relocating most of the mechanicals and appliances, and lowering the floor to add radiant heat in a new concrete slab. Next, a central wall was removed to open the space for a large family room and a steel beam was added for structural support. We filled in an old fireplace as well as old windows and added a larger window to allow natural light to pour in. The Hubbardton Forge pendants in the family room are made of cork and are suspended over a custom-made stadium table, which was finished with four custom made barstools, complete with custom upholstery fabric for the seats and the U of M logo laser-inscribed into the backrest. With a TV wall complete with three televisions for watching multiple games at once, a professional sound and light system, you can’t miss any play in this entertainment space!

inspired spa style sauna, steam shower, whirlpool tub, locker room to an adjacent gym have been very challenging, to capture all amenities that he was inquiring. Space was limited and how build partition walls, created a dilemma to achieve our goals. We had to reconstruct and move bearing posts to gain footsteps for our amazing and rejuvenating spa room. This New Spa was a state of art with a curved tiled bench inside steam room and an Infrared Sauna, soaking whirlpool tub, separate dressing and vanity area just separated from adjacent Gym through pocket doors. New gym with mirrored walls was faced the backyard with a large window. The main room was separated into an entertaining area with large bar and cabinetry, and some built INS facing the backyard. A new French door & window was added to back wall to allow more natural light. Built ins covered with light color natural maple wood tones, we were capturing his nature lifestyle. Through a double glass French door now you enter the state of the art movie theater room. Ceiling star panels, steps row seating, a large screen panel with black velvet curtains has made this space an Icon’s paradise. We have used embedded high quality speakers and surround sound equipped with all new era of projectors, receivers and multiple playing gadgets. The staircase to main level and closet space were redesigned allowing him additional hallway and storage space that he required to have, Intrigued color schemes and fascinating equipment’s has made this basement a place for serenity and excitement

Careful edits and updates were needed in our client's guest bedroom. Their current metal sleigh bed was far too bulky and heavy visually in addition to taking up too much precious space in this tiny bedroom. The room felt cluttered with far too much furniture, cold and downright unwelcoming. For balance, the bed was relocated to the opposite wall. A bold Nikki Chu wallcovering with a playful abstract design was then added to create a focal point and interest. To free up space and to add balance to this room, a 'headboard only' design (minus the footboard) was selected. The headboard's teak and jute elements paired well with this new backdrop to add great texture and interest to the room. Less furniture, visually exciting feature wall and crisp draperies in a free form pattern helped to complete the look.

The Brief Create a WOW factor space, add glamour and fun and give the house a street side and garden side, both different. Our Solution This project was exciting from the start, the client wanted to entertain in a WOW factor space, have a panoramic view of the garden (which was to be landscaped), add bedrooms and a great master suite. We had some key elements to introduce such as an aquarium separating two rooms; double height spaces and a gloss kitchen, all of which manifest themselves in the completed scheme. Architecture is a process taking a schedule of areas, some key desires and needs, mixing the functionality and creating space. New spaces transform a house making it more valuable, giving it kerb appeal and making it feel like a different building. All of which happened at Ailsa Road.
