We recently completed a full outdoor living renovation for a homeowner in Celina, Texas, turning their backyard into a stylish and functional retreat. This project brought together multiple elements to create a seamless, well-designed space. We started with expanding the current space with a stamped and stained concrete patio. From there, we designed and built a Gable Roof Patio Cover and added a matching pergola, giving the homeowners both shade and open-air flexibility for entertaining or relaxing. To elevate the comfort level, we included electrical wiring for recessed lighting, ceiling fan, and beautiful lighting on the post to make the space enjoyable well into the evening hours. The upgrades didn’t stop there. We added plenty of space for outdoor gatherings, and built a beautiful fireplace to anchor the space with warmth and ambiance. A decorative privacy wall was also added for comfort and visual appeal. To enhance the yard we added a stone tree ring that ties in the natural landscape with the finished design. The end result is a backyard that feels like an extension of the home—perfectly suited for family time, entertaining, or quiet evenings by the fire.

A captivating transformation in the coveted neighborhood of University Park, Dallas The heart of this home lies in the kitchen, where we embarked on a design endeavor that would leave anyone speechless. By opening up the main kitchen wall, we created a magnificent window system that floods the space with natural light and offers a breathtaking view of the picturesque surroundings. Suspended from the ceiling, a steel-framed marble vent hood floats a few inches from the window, showcasing a mesmerizing Lilac Marble. The same marble is skillfully applied to the backsplash and island, featuring a bold combination of color and pattern that exudes elegance. Adding to the kitchen's allure is the Italian range, which not only serves as a showstopper but offers robust culinary features for even the savviest of cooks. However, the true masterpiece of the kitchen lies in the honed reeded marble-faced island. Each marble strip was meticulously cut and crafted by artisans to achieve a half-rounded profile, resulting in an island that is nothing short of breathtaking. This intricate process took several months, but the end result speaks for itself. To complement the grandeur of the kitchen, we designed a combination of stain-grade and paint-grade cabinets in a thin raised panel door style. This choice adds an elegant yet simple look to the overall design. Inside each cabinet and drawer, custom interiors were meticulously designed to provide maximum functionality and organization for the day-to-day cooking activities. A vintage Turkish runner dating back to the 1960s, evokes a sense of history and character. The breakfast nook boasts a stunning, vivid, and colorful artwork created by one of Dallas' top artist, Kyle Steed, who is revered for his mastery of his craft. Some of our favorite art pieces from the inspiring Haylee Yale grace the coffee station and media console, adding the perfect moment to pause and loose yourself in the story of her art. The project extends beyond the kitchen into the living room, where the family's changing needs and growing children demanded a new design approach. Accommodating their new lifestyle, we incorporated a large sectional for family bonding moments while watching TV. The living room now boasts bolder colors, striking artwork a coffered accent wall, and cayenne velvet curtains that create an inviting atmosphere. Completing the room is a custom 22' x 15' rug, adding warmth and comfort to the space. A hidden coat closet door integrated into the feature wall adds an element of surprise and functionality. This project is not just about aesthetics; it's about pushing the boundaries of design and showcasing the possibilities. By curating an out-of-the-box approach, we bring texture and depth to the space, employing different materials and original applications. The layered design achieved through repeated use of the same material in various forms, shapes, and locations demonstrates that unexpected elements can create breathtaking results. The reason behind this redesign and remodel was the homeowners' desire to have a kitchen that not only provided functionality but also served as a beautiful backdrop to their cherished family moments. The previous kitchen lacked the "wow" factor they desired, prompting them to seek our expertise in creating a space that would be a source of joy and inspiration. Inspired by well-curated European vignettes, sculptural elements, clean lines, and a natural color scheme with pops of color, this design reflects an elegant organic modern style. Mixing metals, contrasting textures, and utilizing clean lines were key elements in achieving the desired aesthetic. The living room introduces bolder moments and a carefully chosen color scheme that adds character and personality. The client's must-haves were clear: they wanted a show stopping centerpiece for their home, enhanced natural light in the kitchen, and a design that reflected their family's dynamic. With the transformation of the range wall into a wall of windows, we fulfilled their desire for abundant natural light and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Our favorite rooms and design elements are numerous, but the kitchen remains a standout feature. The painstaking process of hand-cutting and crafting each reeded panel in the island to match the marble's veining resulted in a labor of love that emanates warmth and hospitality to all who enter. In conclusion, this tastefully lux project in University Park, Dallas is an extraordinary example of a full gut remodel that has surpassed all expectations. The meticulous attention to detail, the masterful use of materials, and the seamless blend of functionality and aesthetics create an unforgettable space. Keeping the cottage-feel of this home was essential to the homeowners and guided us thru every step while working on this home. Photos by Barbara Wilson. Bedford equine compound. Mock stone bridge created along the mile long entry drive. A lovely equine compound was created out of a 35 acre woodland in Bedford Corners. The design team helped the owners create the home of their dreams out of a parcel with dense woodlands, a pond and NY State wetlands. Barbara was part of the team that helped coordinate local and state wetland permits for building a mile long driveway to the future house site thru wetlands and around an existing pond. She facilitated the layout of the horse paddocks, by obtaining tree permits to clear almost 5 acres for the future grazing areas and an outdoor riding ring. She then supervised the entire development of the landscape on the property. Fences were added enclosing the paddocks. A swimming pool and pool house were laid out to allow easy access to the house without blocking views to the adjacent woodlands. A custom spa was carved out of a piece of ledge at one end of the pool. An outdoor kitchen was designed for the pool area patio and another smaller stand-alone grill was provided at the main house. Mature plantings were added surrounding the house, driveway and outbuildings to create a luxuriant setting for the quaint farmhouse styled home. Mature apple trees were planted along the driveway between the barn and the main house to provide fruit for the family. A custom designed bridge and wood railing system was added along the entry drive where a detention pond overflow connected to an existing pond.

These homeowners approached us with their design in mind which we were able to tweak for improved utilization of space. Their master bath was dated and required complete demolition to the studs, where we found some hidden space that we were able to use in the shower. By eliminating the tub, we were able to use that space for a large shower with custom handmade tile in a creative pattern utilizing mosaic, hexagon and accent tiles, and radiant floor heat was added to the bathroom floor for added comfort. By relocating the stool room, we were able to provide a custom extra deep linen cabinet for additional storage. His and Hers custom vanity’s in a painted Alpine finish with chocolate glaze and Cambria Windermere countertops book end the spacious shower, complete with a floating bench and niche for toiletries. Champagne Bronze plumbing fixtures and Visual Comfort sconces complement the geometric wallpaper and decorative beveled mirrors complete the eye-catching bathroom.

This is a picture of the finished steps that were designed to give better access up to the new fire ring and hammocking sites. It also shows the new garden spaces added to help retain soil and prevent washout.

A client was eager to turn a dated built-in unit into a sophisticated, entertaining space that was highly functional. The gunmetal open shelving unit with integrated LED lighting in the horizontal bars makes a bold design statement. Twin cabinetry columns with seeded glass fronts and interior lighting provide ample storage for spirits and glassware, while lower cabinets seamlessly conceal beverage drawers and a wine refrigeration unit. The modern, frameless slab cabinetry is accented by unlaquered brass hardware, with subtle ribbing adding texture. The marble countertop is backed by a 10" high marble backsplash that blends into the faux finish painted to seamlessly match the striking stone. A memorable design element is the circular, burnished nickel sink with satin brass ring detailing.

This is a picture of after years of washout was dug out and rocks/boulders were added to retain the hill. The retaining structure also allowed for the creation of garden spaces for plants to be placed to help retain the soil as well.

This Master Bathroom was dated, dark, and in dire need of an overhaul. Our clients were inspired by a vacation home and wanted black and white basket-weave tile and tiled wainscoting. We used traditional plumbing fixtures, cabinets, and finishes that would complement the tile. We modernized the shower with dual shower heads, DTV, and teak seat. Detailed tile plans were executed to ensure the tile was impeccably installed throughout. This bath was further enhanced with added lighting and radiant heat flooring.
