The client’s coastal New England roots inspired this Shingle style design for a lakefront lot. With a background in interior design, her ideas strongly influenced the process, presenting both challenge and reward in executing her exact vision. Vintage coastal style grounds a thoroughly modern open floor plan, designed to house a busy family with three active children. A primary focus was the kitchen, and more importantly, the butler’s pantry tucked behind it. Flowing logically from the garage entry and mudroom, and with two access points from the main kitchen, it fulfills the utilitarian functions of storage and prep, leaving the main kitchen free to shine as an integral part of the open living area. Inspiration for a mid-sized coastal open concept light wood floor living room remodel in Boston with white walls

Industrial transitional English style kitchen. The addition and remodeling were designed to keep the outdoors inside. Replaced the uppers and prioritized windows connected to key parts of the backyard and having open shelvings with walnut and brass details. Custom dark cabinets made locally. Designed to maximize the storage and performance of a growing family and host big gatherings. The large island was a key goal of the homeowners with the abundant seating and the custom booth opposite to the range area. The booth was custom built to match the client's favorite dinner spot. In addition, we created a more New England style mudroom in connection with the patio. And also a full pantry with a coffee station and pocket doors.

A creative way to share a bedroom when using this custom "built-in" wall and bed design. Offering a "privacy" wall with storage above and below. Crown molding wraps around the room and seamlessly encloses the added privacy wall. A wonderful layout that is practical and smart. Cape Cod; Dennis, MA The staircase is a striking feature with its polished hardwood treads and a curved handrail, which adds a graceful, traditional touch. The balusters are painted white, providing a crisp contrast and reinforcing the clean, coastal feel. The walls are finished with vertical board-and-batten style paneling, a classic architectural detail that adds texture and character. Natural light is a key element of the design, flooding the space from multiple sources. A large window is positioned at the top of the stairs, and a distinctive round, porthole-style window on the lower landing adds a unique architectural detail.
