Our homeowners wanted to lighten up their existing oak cabinets and have seen other painted kitchens not hold up over time. They were advised that refacing would be a great option since they wanted to keep their existing countertops. They selected the Shaker Bevel door style in Antique White and Oil Rubbed Brushed Bronze decorative pulls. We removed the upper moldings and valence, that they always disliked, and replaced them with a crown molding. They were surprised at the dramatic change of their kitchen. We are happy to be able to help provide them with the kitchen that now fits their style. If you're thinking about what to do with your kitchen space, contact us today for a free consultation.

Not only did this result in an increase in value to the home, but one can see the aesthetic benefits presented to guests and the home owner.

Dining room - transitional dining room idea in Louisville

Location: Spring Lake, NJ, USA The Spring Lake Saltbox was a cute beach house that was ready for an update. threshold interiors made many changes to house - added downlighting, purchased all new light fixtures, designed custom cabinetry for the mudroom and dining room, purchased all new furniture and decor throughout, advised on new tile and bathroom fittings. The kitchen was completely modernized and we added a blue La Canche Range for fun! The overriding theme for the decor was using lots of blue accented with unlacquered brass and pops of yellow. The final product is a unique home that really reflects the clients' design sensibility. Photographed by: Kerry Perchaluk

A tribute to modern architecture, designed by Lee Skolnick, this home resides on fourteen acres in Sag Harbor, NY. Kristen Elizabeth Design joined the team to advise on all interior design elements from surfaces to furnishings and create a modern, minimal vibe while maintaining a warmth that says home. We worked with the clients to blend treasured family heirlooms with styles that are trend forward, but timeless in design. Furnishings and textiles are neutral and softly hued and rooms are fluidly linked with old and new. The vision was to break out of the comfortable traditional style they were accustomed to and build outside their comfort zone with a modern and minimal vibe. Kristen Elizabeth Design worked with the clients to keep them focused on materials and styles that are trend forward, but timeless in design. Furnishings and textiles provide soft color and pattern.

A micro-addition and new layout turns 1980’s cramped kitchen into bright, light-filled collaborative kitchen space. The cramped, isolated kitchen in this 1980’s era home did not fit our clients’ lifestyle nor take advantage of the beautiful views of the nearby pond and woods. They longed for a functional yet fabulous space to support collaborative cooking and family gatherings. A micro-addition facilitated a new layout that both opened to and enlivened their existing living and dining spaces. A bold tri-color palette along with pro-level appliances and impeccable finish detailing gives them everything they desired and more.
