Laminam’s Oxide collection is based on the study of metal subjected to atmospheric agents to “capture” a particular moment of the oxidation process on ceramic. Oxide Avorio, available in the 1000×3000 mm size, replicates the effect of oxidised metal with shades of white and light hazelnut, which go well with modern environments as furnishing design elements, while maintaining an elegant allure even for metal flooring and cladding applications.

This gorgeous house in Short Hills, New Jersey had the feel of a cozy cottage in the woods, and a permanent exterior paint job featuring subtle, calming green colors matched the owners’ vision for their home.
Before the exterior paint was applied, this home underwent an intense sanding process to remove the old paint. Then, the Rutgers team meticulously planned out and carefully executed a fresh application of permanent paint, which included the following colors:
• Misted Green
• White Dove
• Classic Brown (door)
• Mohegan Sage (shutters)
We also applied the White Dove paint to the homeowners’ fence to ensure that it matched the house’s exterior. As with all of our projects, the permanent paint and technique used on this home is designed to last for years without chipping or losing its luster.
Thanks to our warranties that can last up to twenty years, the owners of this house know that these beautiful colors are guaranteed to stand against time and weather conditions.

Ryan & Nicole took on the challenge to refresh their master bathroom. Their goal extended beyond mere looks to achieve a perfect balance between functionality and elegance.
The renovation kicked off with an in-depth demolition, removal, and cleanup process. The area, especially the shower walls, was completely cleared down to the studs, setting the stage for the installation of a custom shower.
Custom cabinets from Sollid Designer Series in Napa Iron Clear Alder were chosen for the vanity area, with a Fairy White quartz countertop and under-mount sinks. The thoughtful selection of finishes underscored their refined taste.
Special attention was paid to the shower, where new plumbing fixtures, a glass enclosure, and tailored niches for bath products were added.
The choice of materials was deliberate, with Tru Marmi Extra matte tiles for the walls, curb, and niche, and a combination of Hex Keystones for the shower floor, enhancing the bathroom's aesthetic appeal.
Central to their vision was a Wyndham Collection Juno 71" freestanding soaking tub, complemented by a sleek, freestanding ground-mounted tub filler faucet, embodying the dreamy oasis they envisioned.

M-S Pro Architects announce the completion of an indoor swimming pool in a state-of-the-art, single storey family home set in a picturesque location on the outskirts of Bratislava - one of Europe’s youngest capital cities. Kebony, a beautiful wood recommended by leading architects, was chosen to craft the ceiling of the swimming pool, which is designed to emulate rippling waves as well as for the terrace deck and structural beams.
Sustainability and a desire to recreate the close proximity often seen between wood and water in the natural environment were primary focuses in the design of this project. This led a requirement for a low maintenance wood, compatible humidity and with advanced durability, for the swimming pool ceiling. In addition, a high level of precision when cutting the wood was required in order to achieve the desired appearance of waves.
Supplied by Leading Market, Kebony was carefully selected for the pool ceiling, which consists of 490 lamellae of timber, due to its versatility, durability and environmental credentials. Kebony was also installed throughout the exterior of this property, both for the spacious outdoor terrace and the exterior and interior beams. One of the reasons to choose Kebony was the unified look of wood in all these different applications.
Developed in Norway, the patented Kebony technology uses an environmentally friendly process, which permanently enhances the properties of sustainable softwood with a bio-based liquid derived from agricultural crop waste. By polymerising the wood’s cell wall with furfuryl alcohol, the wood gains greatly improved durability and dimensional stability, giving it characteristics similar to those of tropical hardwood. In creating a wood with comparable properties to tropical hardwood that can be grown in a FSC certified, sustainably managed forest, the demand for tropical woods is reduced, allowing timber to once again be an important part of sustainable construction.
Tomáš Hubinský, Lead Architect at M-S Pro, commented: “From conception through to completion, the creation of this ceiling has been a real feat. Despite the challenges faced by such an intricate design, Kebony was the perfect material to convey our desired effect of waves rippling along the ceiling. We will continue to incorporate Kebony into our interior and exterior designs, with wood fast becoming the first choice material for all architects.”
Mette Valen, Sales Manager Norway at Kebony, explained: “The distinctive nature of this design cleverly portrays the capability of Kebony, demonstrating both the aesthetic and performance qualities of the product. We would be honoured to work with M-S Pro in the future and look forward to seeing how they utilise Kebony in their future projects.”

Converting this bare area into a stunning new bathroom was an exciting endeavor. The design features, including a curbless shower with a linear drain, a pocket door, and a pony wall, were thoughtfully implemented to maximize both functionality and aesthetics. Innovative approaches were taken to adapt to the unique layout, with extra care given to ensuring the spacious curbless shower was both practical and visually appealing.
The shower’s design features intricate details, beginning with a stainless-steel linear drain that spans its entire width. This setup accommodates large 12″x24″ tiles and a straight sloped floor, minimizing grout lines and simplifying the cleaning process.
Two shower niches were designed to provide extra storage without clutter. A spacious bench was constructed for comfort, relaxation, and ease of access. A pony wall was added to divide the toilet and shower, eliminating the necessity for a shower curtain. A glass mosaic tile accent band was selected to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the space. Subtle details like edge trim and aligned tile/drywall points contribute to a polished overall appearance.
Our options for vanity selections were somewhat restricted, but we found a mahogany veneer piece on sale at a local big box store that met our requirements perfectly. Given the factory’s light lacquer application and the bathroom’s exposure to humidity and water, I decided to apply two additional coats of lacquer to all exposed wood after a thorough sanding and cleaning.
To achieve a marble-like appearance, we constructed a polished tile countertop and installed an undermount sink for both aesthetics and functionality. After preparing the surface of the sink, I applied an epoxy coating to seamlessly integrate the sink and tile. The same mosaic tile from the shower was used for the backsplash, enhancing the overall luxurious feel. The recessed lighting and vanity bar fixture were connected to a dual dimmer switch for added versatility.
A pocket door featuring latching hardware was installed to maximize space and maintain a sleek appearance. To enhance the sense of openness, a large, full-width mirror was selected. Adequate ventilation was provided by an in-wall fan connected to a standard switch and a programmable humidistat, allowing the fan to activate when humidity levels reached a specified threshold. Additionally, a compact Jeld-Wen window sourced from a local Habitat for Humanity store was fitted with a convenient cordless shade.

Full home renovation of a Burnaby single-family home completed over nine months. The project involved a complete structural rework of the main floor to create an open-concept layout, including steel beam installation to remove load-bearing walls, a full kitchen renovation, 4.5 bathroom renovations, new HVAC throughout, and structural repairs across the home.
The scale and complexity of this project required careful sequencing — structural work, mechanical systems, and finish trades coordinated across an occupied neighbourhood site over a nine-month build. Every scope was managed under one process by Roka Projects, from engineer coordination and permit applications through to final finishes. Nestled within seven acres of sloping hickory and oak forest overlooking Berkshire Lake in Taghkanic, New York is a 4,000 square foot lake house designed by JZA+D. This registered LEED for Homes residence proved rather challenging due to wetlands requiring JZA+D to work through the permitting approval process with the NY Department of Conservation. The project also required the review and approval by the Community Board.
With impressive views of the lake the home is dynamic and modern with a rustic feeling featuring stone walls, a large open-air porch and a two story chimney with two high efficiency fireplaces. The main living spaces open up to dynamic views of the lake and surrounding hillside.
