Wonderfully open kitchen with high end appliances and a lovely expansive breakfast bar. Clean industrial lines of the apron sink and stainless steel combine fluidly with the farmhouse style wood and wide plank floors. A modern take on the farmhouse kitchen.

Existing dark cabinetry was replaced with quarter cut cherry veneer modern panel door cabinets. The existing pantry space with louvered doors was replaced with new full-height casework. Built-ins for the microwave and wine chiller free up space at the island. A new modern stainless steel hood with integrated lighting and exposed stainless duct work creates a more spacious look. This unique kitchen was designed to encompass the desired farmhouse style. The glass cabinets with wooden mullions are great for displaying decorative pieces. Goals The clients main goal was more space. They desired a new kitchen that was large enough to fit their growing family and to update other rooms in their home to fit their contemporary style. Our Design Solution In order to enlarge the kitchen, we had to build a new addition. The original kitchen was just too small and had no where to expand to within the house. With moving the entire kitchen into the addition, there was now room to create a mudroom and a new bathroom. Above the new kitchen, we gave the client a new master suite. We used white cabinets, a custom wood counter, and gray back splash tile, to give the kitchen the contemporary feel the clients were seeking. C.J South Photography

Stair were illuminated with linear light channels integrated into the underside of each stair nosing to float the stair with light while providing functional lighting as the stair wraps the curved glass elevator.
