This custom wood garage door has a sophisticated modern design with its asymmetrical windows slightly tinted and framed with silver steel frames that create a phenomenal combination with the horizontal Ipe slats. The garage door was done in solid Ipe planks to match the exiting accent siding found around the house.Refinishing the siding at the time of the garage door and front entry gate made a huge impact on this modern home that hadn't been touched in well over a decade. The refreshing new look and stunning appearance can be attributed to the custom designed garage door and entry security gate, both done by Dynamic Garage Door.
The project included a new custom designed garage door and steel/glass entry gate that have similar elements but are different in their own architectural essence so as not to compete with each other or the general asymmetrical design of the home.
In the last few years more of our custom garage doors have been installed in San Francisco for obvious reasons. Mainly, the quality, authentic design and aesthetic beauty our garage doors add to each home project we work on.

Blair Burke General Contractors, Inc.Featured in the AIA San Francisco 2009 Home Tour, this residence in San Francisco’s Glen Park neighborhood underwent a full seismic retrofit and new third story addition. Set in a steeply sloped hillside, the project¬ included extensive rear yard improvements, terraced gardens and a steel bridge that connects the living spaces to the outdoors. A new roof deck takes advantage of the dramatic downtown views. Interior highlights include a custom stair “ribbon” of steel and kumaroo wood, a built-in wine cellar, and dumbwaiter on two levels.

Edgewater Design GroupThe family purchased the 1950s ranch on Mullet Lake because their daughter dreamed of being married on its shores. The home would be used for the wedding venue and then as a wedding gift to the young couple. We were originally hired in August 2014 to help with a simple renovation of the home that was to be completed well in advance of the August 2015 wedding date. However, thorough investigation revealed significant issues with the original foundation, floor framing and other critical elements of the home’s structure that made that impossible. Based on this information, the family decided to tear down and build again. So now we were tasked with designing a new home that would embody their daughter’s vision of a storybook home – a vision inspired by another one of our projects that she had toured. To capture this aesthetic, traditional cottage materials such as stone and cedar shakes are accentuated by more materials such as reclaimed barn wood siding and corrugated CORTEN steel accent roofs. Inside, interior finishes include hand-hewn timber accents that frame openings and highlight features like the entrance reading nook. Natural materials shine against white walls and simply furnished rooms. While the house has nods to vintage style throughout, the open-plan kitchen and living area allows for both contemporary living and entertaining. We were able to capture their daughter’s vision and the home was completed on time for her big day.

Starr Custom HomesThis modern beach house in Jacksonville Beach features a large, open entertainment area consisting of great room, kitchen, dining area and lanai. A unique second-story bridge over looks both foyer and great room. Polished concrete floors and horizontal aluminum stair railing bring a contemporary feel. The kitchen shines with European-style cabinetry and GE Profile appliances. The private upstairs master suite is situated away from other bedrooms and features a luxury master shower and floating double vanity. Two roomy secondary bedrooms share an additional bath. J.P. Hoffman Design BuildLocated right off the Primary bedroom – this bathroom is located in the far corners of the house. It should be used as a retreat, to rejuvenate and recharge – exactly what our homeowners asked for. We came alongside our client – listening to the pain points and hearing the need and desire for a functional, calming retreat, a drastic change from the disjointed, previous space with exposed pipes from a previous renovation. We worked very closely through the design and materials selections phase, hand selecting the marble tile on the feature wall, sourcing luxe gold finishes and suggesting creative solutions (like the shower’s linear drain and the hidden niche on the inside of the shower’s knee wall). The Maax Tosca soaker tub is a main feature and our client's #1 request. Add the Toto Nexus bidet toilet and a custom double vanity with a countertop tower for added storage, this luxury retreat is a must for busy, working parents.
