Who would mind doing dishes with this view? This kitchen is elegant, functional and beautiful. First notice the cabinetry. This is a soft grey on the perimeter with a deep walnut island. The walnut has an amazing shea matte finish that is so yummy you can't stop touching it. Every detail has been attended to with a small bump out for the sink and range. Oh there is more, the toe kick is chrome for that beautiful reflection of the floor. The pantries, appliance garage, the wine cooler, glass buffet and of course this amazing hood. Remodel and addition of a single-family rustic log cabin. This project was a fun challenge of preserving the original structure’s character while revitalizing the space and fusing it with new, more modern additions. Every surface in this house was attended to, creating a unified and contemporary, yet cozy, mountain aesthetic. This was accomplished through preserving and refurbishing the existing log architecture and exposed timber ceilings and blending new log veneer assemblies with the original log structure. Finish carpentry was paramount in handcrafting new floors, custom cabinetry, and decorative metal stairs to interact with the existing building. The centerpiece of the house is a two-story tall, custom stone and metal patinaed, double-sided fireplace that meets the ceiling and scribes around the intricate log purlin structure seamlessly above. Three sides of this house are surrounded by ponds and streams. Large wood decks and a cedar hot tub were constructed to soak in the Teton views. Particular effort was made to preserve and improve landscaping that is frequently enjoyed by moose, elk, and bears that also live in the area.

In addition to designing and building all of the outdoor and landscape amenities, Southern Landscape performed all of the stonework on this Texas Ranch House. The front of the home features extensive wrap-around porches with flagstone flooring and customer rock and iron railing. The stone staircase leads to a lower patio and stone wine cellar and grotto, with the attendant planters and retaining walls transitioning the yard to the front of the home. Flagstone walkways connect the main home to the guest houses.

The new Edgewood Yacht Club replaces a much-loved early 20th Century Shingle Style building lost to fire in 2011. The new design reflects the essence of the original in character, scale and materials with a more modern presence, and incorporates state-of-the art features. The Yacht Club utilizes the main floor, while the second floor houses the Ted Turner Sailing Center, serving the Brown University Sailing Team.
“for Brown Sailing it has been one of the most exciting years in the program’s history. The opening and dedication of the Ted Turner Sailing Pavilion happened on May 12, with over 200 alumni, parents, and friends of Brown Sailing in attendance to celebrate what is truly one of the best sailing facilities in all of college sailing.”
