What they really wanted was a complete kitchen makeover, doubling the working surface area of the kitchen without forfeiting period details, especially the ogee archway. We estimate between 500 and 600 people visited our craftsman kitchen remodel as part of the 2016 Spring Remodelers Showcase Home Tour! These customers were fun to work with. The husband like to shower, and the wife like to bathe, both had to work in the morning, and attend to there morning rituals at the same time. This often caused issues for them, so what did they do... Remodeled there Master bath with a side by side shower and whirlpool bath tub! That's compromise! In addition to designing and building all of the outdoor and landscape amenities, Southern Landscape performed all of the stonework on this Texas Ranch House. The front of the home features extensive wrap-around porches with flagstone flooring and customer rock and iron railing. The stone staircase leads to a lower patio and stone wine cellar and grotto, with the attendant planters and retaining walls transitioning the yard to the front of the home. Planters outside the wine cellar provide protection from the summer sun while protecting the native live oaks around the home

The Home The Elbert, named after a Colorado fourteener, is designed in the modern farmhouse style with an open concept that creates a welcoming feeling. The two-story entry light compliments the incredible view of Pikes Peak. The main level includes a gourmet kitchen open to the great room, dining room and study. The master suite is an owner’s delight with a separate seating area that opens to a spa-like master bathroom. Moving up a level will reveal one of JS Homes’ specialties. Utilizing often overlooked space, we bring our East Coast influences to the Colorado Springs market by using the attic for additional living space without adding another floor. This results in higher roof lines and a majestic appearance. Two bedrooms, a bathroom and a bonus room will be a delight for the kids in the family. The ten-foot ceiling in the lower-level was designed with entertaining in mind. Two bedrooms, a shared bath and an exercise room complete the ensemble. Building within Flying Horse North, we were able to incorporate unique materials including stucco, barnwood, stone and pre-finished western red cedar. JS Homes is proud to present The Elbert. The Interior Design This Flying Horse North lot was a perfect setting for The Elbert, a modern farmhouse. From the moment you walk through the front door, your sightline is drawn to the incredible Pikes Peak view. We sought to capture the large space by blending a mix of different materials and textures. Superior craftsmanship incorporates a mixture of materials, from knotty alder and walnut on the main level, to hickory and quarter-sawn oak elsewhere, creating a rich and rewarding feel. Luxe granites complimented by beautiful tile work add depth and movement in many areas of the house — creating a refined feeling. Working with Jessica Brown of La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, we designed a palette of colors, patterns and rich textures to enhance and compliment the interior finishes. A mixture of grays, blues and whites provides a timeless, fresh and family friendly environment that makes The Elbert a sanctuary for entertaining and relaxing.

The homeowner of this 1970’s Mid-Century Modern home in St. Paul was seeking a space that would function efficiently for their family of 3. Their old 70’s kitchen was truly falling apart and there were almost no countertops to utilize the space effectively. The old kitchen was too closed in and tight and lacked the proper work zones. It was important to the client to have durable finishes and to create an updated aesthetic that married the original homes style. We demoed a wall from kitchen to hallway to back sunroom to help open up the space. However, we kept the beautiful fireplace and brick wall and used this as a new feature wall in the kitchen for cabinets and floating shelves. We also added pop-up outlets here so we could meet code and not have to drill through pretty original brick. The overall space achieved the Mid-Century and Scandinavian Modern look by including minimal finishes, crisp lines and pops of color texture. For example, in the dining room, we kept one corner cabinet and painted a bright green for a pop of color to bring the Scandinavian mod style into the room. The aesthetic is enhanced with light-stained frameless cherry cabinetry from Crystal cabinets, a chevron tile backsplash, and beautiful Silestone quartz countertops. To bring their kitchen up to date, we updated all electrical and HVAC with a new a new range hood. The client chose sustainable Adura luxury vinyl plank flooring in both the kitchen and dining room. To round out the remodel, we installed new custom modern iron railings by Loftus Iron at the stairwell. Personal touches are found throughout the new space with the homeowner’s travel collections and records proudly displayed on the floating shelves. Overall, the clients were so happy to have this great kitchen for when the 2020 pandemic hit and cooking ALL meals at home in conjunction to learning to work and attend school from home for their family. They couldn’t be happier.

NARI CAPITAL COTY, HONORABLE MENTION AWARD WINNER, RESIDENTIAL KITCHEN $50,000 TO $100,000 The owners of this Mount Vernon home purchased it with plans to remodel the kitchen. The original space was tired, dark and disorganized. A peninsula separated the kitchen from the breakfast area and the adjacent sunroom was only accessed via a single door. The back pantry was poorly designed and there was no logic to the kitchen’s work space. The first step in this stunning transformation involved replacing the original peninsula with a large central island. Built using espresso stained furniture-quality cabinets with icon legs, open bottoms and exotic dark granite countertops, all kitchen traffic now flows around the island. The outside wall of the kitchen, featuring a 48” Thermador range, stainless steel range hood and glass tile backsplash, is the focal point of the new space. A stainless steel farm-style sink sits beneath one of two large windows that provide lots of natural light into the room. To the right, sits a 48” Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer. The wall adjacent to the family room was never used properly. Now it is home to two tall pantries, double ovens and a microwave. Creative pass through arches let the homeowner attend to guests while preparing food in the kitchen. The butler area adjacent to the dining room is filled with glass front cabinetry and additional cabinetry for extra storage. The kitchen is now part of an open concept design flowing from kitchen to dining room to sun room. By replacing a bearing wall with a structural header, traffic can flow from one room to the next making it brighter and more conducive to entertaining. More spacious than ever, this new kitchen is the hub of the home for this couple who love to cook and entertain.

Who would mind doing dishes with this view? This kitchen is elegant, functional and beautiful. First notice the cabinetry. This is a soft grey on the perimeter with a deep walnut island. The walnut has an amazing shea matte finish that is so yummy you can't stop touching it. Every detail has been attended to with a small bump out for the sink and range. Oh there is more, the toe kick is chrome for that beautiful reflection of the floor. The pantries, appliance garage, the wine cooler, glass buffet and of course this amazing hood. A family requested a creative solution for unique moveable study and lounge areas for their school aged kids. The solution was the design of 2 rolling cushioned seats with multiple accessories. The rolling seats are 6 feet in diameter and combine an upholstered cushion, adjustable desk, LED lighting, rear whiteboard, locking blocks and superior craftsmanship to supply the family with an eye-catching piece. The seats have become a favorite location for the kids to attend online classes, view social media, play games, and is always an excellent spot for reading a book.

This home was a huge hit with all of the attendants at the show. On the side this home also featured an attached pavilion/patio area perfect for summer nights with guests. Inside you will find beautiful high ceilings, stone and Timber detailing; as well as an amazing fireplace. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare the perfect meal. The stone detailing in the kitchen is eye catching. This particular home featured three bedrooms, two baths, large dining and living area, a large beautiful kitchen, laundry room, upstairs loft living area. Out side was a beautiful front porch and an amazing side patio area with timber style pavilion. Our Amish Country builders are second to none and have years of experience in building homes, garages, barns, sheds, pavilions and much more. We recently completed a breathtaking pool renovation in West Palm Beach, transforming an outdated space into a modern waterfront oasis. State College Rental Townhomes View of Kitchen opening to living room. This project includes, in Phase 1A, 141 Townhomes and 96 Apartment Units, all of which are designed by JMAC Architects. The Townhomes (and apartments) come fully furnished, including beds and desks, and will primarily be rented out by students attending the nearby Main Campus of the Pennsylvania State University.
