Green Home Systems provides reliable solar power solutions to residential and commercial customers all over the country. Recently, we had the opportunity to work with Bruce D. in Jacksonville, IL to provide a 19kW solar system for his home. We were able to complete this job quickly and efficiently, delivering a high quality product at an affordable price.
At Green Home Systems, our mission is to provide our customers with the best customer service in the industry as well as unparalleled solar solutions at the most economical price. We understand that not everyone can afford large upfront costs associated with installing solar systems and we are proud to offer competitive financing options that make it easier for our customers to go solar without breaking the bank. This was certainly true for Bruce D., who took advantage of our financing options and was able to have his new solar system installed within a couple of weeks time.
Our team worked hard to ensure everything went smoothly when installing Bruce’s new system. We began by inspecting his roof to determine if it was suitable for installation and if there were any potential problems that needed addressing before beginning work. Once we determined everything was in order we then moved on to designing and installing the system itself. Our team of experienced professionals worked diligently to ensure each component was installed properly and securely so that it would be able to withstand years of exposure to the elements without issue.
We also made sure that Bruce was aware of all the financial benefits associated with having a photovoltaic system installed on his home. He was now able to take advantage of numerous tax credits available in Illinois as well as decreased utility bills due to reduced consumption from his local electricity provider. Additionally, he will be able to increase the value of his home by having a solar power system installed which will make it more attractive should he decide he wants to sell it down the line.
In conclusion, we are proud of our work with Bruce D. in Jacksonville, IL and were happy to provide him with an efficient and cost-effective way to add renewable energy sources into his home’s power grid. Our team worked diligently throughout every stage of this project from design through installation until completion and we are thrilled with the results. We look forward to continuing our work throughout Illinois providing reliable solar solutions at competitive prices so that more people can benefit from this clean source of energy!

These three images serve as a mood board for our Los Angeles Redesign. Incorporating nature back into Los Angeles was at the fore-front of our redesign.
The top image is from Avatar the Last Airbender, called the Banyan-Grove Tree. This tree drove our figurative narrative concept of "roots" that connect the entire 1x1 mile square we were tasked to redesign. In the show, the banyan tree expands its roots all across the swap to plant more trees.
The last two images serve as a visual aid for the "Routes to Roots" redesign. Lots of trees with expansive roots
Narrative:
Many years ago, a vast tree once enchanted the plains of Los Angeles. Scientists could not track the tree's age, deeming it immortal due to its many deeply ingrained and expansive roots across the city. To this day, scientists are still uncertain about the tree's origin. Its roots and lush branches sprawled anywhere it could, engulfing anything in its path. The tree had unique properties; anyone who touched the tree's foundations could communicate with another person a mile away and, on special occasions, grant auspicious fortunes. The city worshiped this magical tree because it was the center of all life. Or so it was. The discovery of the tree's healing sap quickly drove people mad, and in a frenzy, people began to chop at the tree. The growth of filmmaking and Hollywood attracted many people to LA because of the great weather and diverse landscape. Oil was discovered near the tree shortly after. Finally, oil production was the tipping point, and these three factors led to the demise of the immortal tree.
By 1950, the vast tree had no longer enchanted the city. Nowadays, problems with constant traffic, heavy air pollution, and past effects of redlining have all repelled the potential residents of the territory. Gridding lurks within the city, unconsciously controlling the movement of people. The severe health risks from these problems and the water scarcity and well-being are making researchers rethink the city's future. Due to this, the government tasks architects from all over the country to redesign Los Angeles, but it has to relate to the once immortal tree. At the same time, they are providing solutions to these five issues: redlining, heat severity, accessibility, open spaces, and lastly, preserving essential landmarks and bringing back the city's roots while still housing the population. Years later, a team of architects pitched their 200-year redesign, reimagining the superfuture of Los Angeles. The mission will be titled "From Routes to Roots". Here's what they pitched:

Bathroom remodeling is a significant home improvement project that blends functionality, aesthetics, and value. At a high level, it involves updating elements such as fixtures, flooring, lighting, cabinetry, and plumbing to create a more efficient and visually appealing space. Modern remodeling also emphasizes energy and water efficiency, incorporating low-flow toilets, LED lighting, and eco-friendly materials. The planning stage is critical, involving layout decisions, selection of durable finishes, and ensuring compliance with local building codes to ensure both safety and longevity.
The outcomes of a well-executed bathroom remodel go beyond surface-level improvements. A redesigned bathroom can greatly enhance daily convenience and comfort, whether through better storage solutions, improved lighting, or more accessible features such as walk-in showers or grab bars for aging-in-place needs. These changes can dramatically improve quality of life, especially in homes with outdated or poorly designed bathrooms. Functionality and thoughtful design can make even small bathrooms feel spacious and more enjoyable to use.
Moreover, bathroom remodeling holds significant value from a financial perspective. A modern, attractive bathroom can increase a home’s resale value and appeal to potential buyers, often offering a high return on investment compared to other renovation projects. Real estate professionals consistently highlight updated bathrooms as key selling points. Ultimately, a bathroom remodel isn’t just an aesthetic upgrade—it’s an investment in comfort, safety, efficiency, and property value.

Maintaining a pest-free home requires attention throughout the year. Seasonal changes affect pest behavior, and understanding these patterns can save homeowners from costly damage and health hazards. In this guide, we will explore practical strategies for spring pest prevention tips, ensuring your property stays protected through every season. From spotting early signs to implementing proactive measures, these steps empower homeowners to take control before infestations occur.
Understanding Seasonal Pest Patterns
Pests adapt to changing weather, and knowing their patterns helps prevent infestations effectively.
Spring: Awakening Pests
Spring signals the end of winter dormancy for many pests. Rodents, ants, and termites start seeking food and warmth. Effective spring pest prevention tips include:
● Cleaning gutters and removing debris
● Sealing cracks and gaps in exterior walls
● Inspecting wood piles and compost areas
● Monitoring early signs of termite activity
Pro Tip: Conduct a termite inspection or a professional evaluation to catch infestations early before they spread.
Summer: Peak Pest Season
Warm temperatures accelerate pest breeding cycles. For a comprehensive summer pest prevention guide:
● Maintain lawns and trim vegetation away from homes
● Check window and door screens for tears
● Store food in sealed containers
● Inspect water sources that attract mosquitoes
Do You Know? Mosquitoes can lay eggs in a teaspoon of water. Eliminating stagnant water is crucial to reducing their population.
Fall: Preparing for Winter
As temperatures drop, pests search for warm indoor spaces. Key actions include:
● Inspecting for winter rodent entry points
● Sealing attic vents, crawl spaces, and foundation gaps
● Cleaning storage areas to minimize hiding spots
● Checking chimney and fireplace openings
Quick Fact: Rodents can enter homes through openings as small as ¼ inch.
Seasonal Pest Checklist for Homeowners
Creating a structured seasonal pest checklist simplifies preventive measures and ensures nothing is overlooked.

Common Pests and Their Seasonal Behaviors
Understanding how different pests behave each season helps homeowners take timely action to protect their property.
● Ants and Termites: Ants emerge in spring seeking food, while termites become active and can damage wood unnoticed. Early detection is critical.
● Rodents and Mice: Fall and winter increase rodent intrusions. Block all entry points and keep food sealed.
● Mosquitoes and Flies: Summer creates the ideal breeding environment for mosquitoes. Eliminate standing water and use physical barriers like nets.
● Spiders and Other Insects: Seasonal shifts cause spiders to move indoors. Regular vacuuming and decluttering reduce hiding spots.
Eco-Friendly Prevention Methods
● Use natural repellents like peppermint oil or diatomaceous earth
● Encourage beneficial insects, such as ladybugs, to reduce pest populations
● Plant pest-deterring plants near home boundaries, like marigolds or lavender
Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
Adopt an IPM approach by combining physical barriers, monitoring, and environmentally safe treatments. This minimizes chemical use while maintaining a pest-free home.
