The homeowners contacted Barbara Elza Hirsch to redesign three rooms. They were looking to create a New England Coastal inspired home with transitional, modern and Scandinavian influences. This Living Room was a blank slate room with lots of windows, vaulted ceiling with exposed wood beams, direct view and access to the backyard and pool. The floor was made of tumbled marble tile and the fireplace needed to be completely redesigned. This room was to be used as Living Room and a television was to be placed above the fireplace. Barbara came up with a fireplace mantel and surround design that was clean and streamlined and would blend well with the owners’ style. Black slate stone was used for the surround and the mantel is made of wood. The color scheme included pale blues, whites, greys and a light terra cotta color. Photography by Jared Kuzia

Nestled up to an equally stunning home bar is this one of a kind glass front custom wine cellar / wine room in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. This trendy wine cellar is sleek with black wine racking, matching the black coated stainless steel frames in the glass front. Poplar wood was utilized for these wine racks, only to be finished with a modern / contemporary touch of staining them completely midnight black. This wine room screams luxury with its clean lines and hybrid style utilizing metal, glass and wood in varying colors and styles. Designed , built, and installed by Vintage Cellars, this wine cellar keeps your interest with many styles of display and storage. Along the top, individual bottle storage is perfect for those longer termed holdings. Directly below showcases two tiered coved trays, perfect for putting those prized bottles front and center. Directly underneath is a high reveal display row, keeping bottles angled properly to ensure wet corks for graceful aging. One level lower yet again leaves space for original wood cases. The jet black wine racking contrasts beautifully against the sprawling natural wood flooring. Space was left inside this mid-sized wine vault / wine room / wine cellar to make room for a entertaining table - perfect for opening and decanting your favorite bottles with friends. Even with the comfortable spaciousness designed into this wine cellar, it still holds 800+ bottles easily. Vintage Cellars worked with Noe Design Co on this project. They did a fantastic job with the custom stainless steel framing, door, and glasswork.. A beautiful consistency was kept with the dark metal and wine racks. The combination of white and grey marble in the home bar / custom bar, the utilization of mirrors, subdued grey wall coverings, and sleek black furniture, metal, and wood all showcase elegance at its finest. The cooling system in this wine cellar / wine room / wine vault / wine closet / wine wall / glass wine cellar / glass wine room / glass wine vault / glass wine closet / glass wine wall / modern wine room / modern wine cellar / modern wine vault is ducted in to the ceiling to maintain a cool, calm, and quiet environment. Inspiration for a mid-sized transitional ceramic tile kitchen/dining room combo remodel in Dallas with beige walls and no fireplace

Our Modern Santa Barbara Style Kitchen underwent a huge transformation that opened the kitchen to the family room and formal dining room to create spaces that are more livable and functional as well as beautiful.

This old 1920's home is thought to be an original George Washington Smith home, has now been updated and extended by Architect Bob Easton of Santa Barbara. Arched walls over stairs, plaster fireplaces, and very simple, comfortable design make for a very livable home for this family with multiple pets. Leather sofas for an easy feel, over antique hand knotted rugs and old world furniture show off this old Spanish home in the Ojai Valley. The Designers used periwinkle colored windows and doors to play off the black iron windows, and real Malibu tile with white marble tile surrounds around a blue granite kitchen island. The living room ceiling is completely original, and is the inspiration for the new exposed beam master suite ceilings. All the lighting is custom wrought iron fixtures, made especially for this home. A powder room features deep blue tiles and Malibu tile wainscot, the paintings are all of simple early California scenes which all make for an earthy, simple old time style, Project Location: Ojai, California. From their beautiful resort town of Ojai, they serve clients in Montecito, Hope Ranch, Malibu, Westlake and Calabasas, across the tri-county areas of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles, south to Hidden Hills- north through Solvang and more.
