The Inspiration for this master bathroom remodel was the homeowners' desire for improved functionality of this small bath and updated design and products befitting the English Cottage style home. The goals for this projects were: 1. Redesign the bath to accommodate a more functional floor plan, better accessibility and storage. 2. Create the illusion of a larger space as the homeowners stated "the space felt too small and crammed in". 3. a "warmer and cozy feel, for the bath to become a comfortable and relaxing refuge". The arch to the shower was raised 3", opening the space visually to the bath and maintaining the English cottage charm. The vanity area features a Kohler recessed medicine cabinet that fits appropriately on top of the chair rail, a traditional three bulb light fixture, and a neo traditional designed Kohler Tresham rectangular sink. The goal was to create clean lines and use the geometric form of the Delta Dryden lavatory faucet. Brazilian Bordeax Siena Granite was selected for its organic, warm, and lighter background colors consisting mainly of cream with burgundy flowing throughout, drawing out the rich hues of the cabinetry. The toilet and tub were relocated on the opposite wall, creating an easily accessible and functional work space. The wainscoting and chair rail extend into the shower in a linear fashion. The basket weave pattern of the floor adds a visual and tactual texture.

Much like a Monet painting, this floral mosaic crafted with jet cut blue celeste marble, Carrara marble, and pearly river shell surely sets the mood and provides a strong identity for this space. To add to the experience a rainshower head was installed. What makes this shower refreshing and clean? Blue and white! Thassos marble accentuated with blue celeste marble details gives that crisp clean classic look. The shower floor is a more functional celeste blue—instead of the white—while the main floor is a beautiful basket weave. Yes, wainscot walls of white Thassos marble finish the room in a classic way complete with marble baseboard and chair rail. Designed by Cameron Snyder, CKD and Julie Lyons. Removing the former wall between the kitchen and dining room to create an open floor plan meant the former powder room tucked in a corner needed to be relocated. Cameron designed a 7' by 6' space framed with curved wall in the middle of the new space to locate the new powder room and it became an instant focal point perfectly located for guests and easily accessible from the kitchen, living and dining room areas. Both the pedestal lavatory and one piece sanagloss toilet are from TOTO Guinevere collection. Faucet is from the Newport Brass-Bevelle series in Polished Nickel with lever handles.

Bathrooms are designed classically using a combination of modular sized white wall tile set horizontally and capped with a ceramic chair rail around the room perimeter. All flooring for bathrooms and laundry room is a square module hard wearing, easy maintenance porcelain tile replicating a beautiful Calcutta marble. This provides continuity of our classical look without the maintenance issues of a natural marble.
