The wide frame of the Providence door style offers contemporary simplicity and classic detailing for a distinctive transitional style. The Maple finished in White Icing supports the classic theme while bold accents, such as the decorative legs with a tapered foot in Oak Espresso, frame the peninsula and add drama to the contemporary architecture of this space. Wine cubes add a decorative element and are unexpected place for storage or display of small items. A rolling island cart with a John Boos butcher block top offers additional work space and the 64-1/2" pull-out pantry features full extension, heavy-duty glides for easy access to what you need. From the bold contrast of colors to the integrated beauty of the deluxe wood hood with a plate ledge, this design combines style, flexibility and function to create a one-of-a-kind space.

Bridgeport Freeform Infinity Pool & Cabana designed by Mike Farley. This is a clean, neat, tailored diving pool with a large shallow end for activities and swimming laps. There are multiple level flagstone decks, dry stacked retaining walls, and steps to deal with the hillside. Entertainment areas were placed on the sides and the back so not to block any views of the pool or grandchildren swimming. Fire bowls anchored the Vanishing Edge spillway and framed the view of the lake. The cabana provides shelter for the large kitchen and bar area. The back wall of the pool provides additional seating due to the grade and a place to gather around the fire pit. The spa provided good access to the master bedroom and floating pads provided transition between the two terraces.

I designed this ADA master bathroom and assisted the homeowner in making all of the fixture, material and finish choices while working at Corvallis Custom Kitchens and Baths.
Our client wanted to update this master bathroom for her to use and be able to live in comfortably as she gets older.
We installed a frameless glass shower with a fixed panel over a 1/2 height wall and a hinged door. A linear drain allows for a zero threshold entry into the shower allowing for the bather to enter without any barrier to step over.
We installed an American Standard Cadet Pro Right Height toilet and placed blocking in the wall for grab bars (one with a toilet paper holder) could be installed.
Maple flat panel cabinetry was installed with a linen cabinet and with Silestone Phoenix quuartz countertops and backsplash with a Kohler Caxton undermount sinks with a Moen single handle faucets.
Grab bars were installed in the shower stall and at the entry to the shower, along with a Speakman grab bar shower system with Hansgrohe shower controls. Two combo niches for shampoo and such was installed close to the handheld showerhead for easy access and near the rear of the shower.
LED lighting was added to the shower area on it's own dimmer switch. Three additional LED fixtures were installed between the mirrors to provide excellent task lighting for anyone using the vanity.
We added a pocket door to separate the bathroom from the master bedroom.

A flipped floor plan placed the kitchen at the rear of the home improving traffic flow and usability of cooking and dining areas, to better integrate indoor/outdoor access to kitchen nd patio dining.

Large 1960s beige two-story brick house exterior idea with a hip roof and a shingle roof

Accessed by way of a backlit onyx clad elevator, the home’s lower level is paved with matched vein-cut travertine, traveling to three unique rooms. The caretaker’s bathroom contains vein-cut Palissandro Blue marble with
a distinct linear pattern that covers the floor, walls, ceiling, and vanity, merging into shower walls shaped in unique marble picture frame moldings. The bungalow bathroom is clad in dark Pietra d’Avola limestone, and the guest’s bathroom has a travertine clad shower with a bathtub made from one single block of travertine.

Our design created a furniture-like island with room for bar seats and open shelves. The Wolf rangetop includes a charbroiler and tucked behind the range hides the Wolf downdraft system.
Drawer storage underneath the range provides convenient access to pots and pans.

This bathroom takes the desire to "age in place" to glamorous levels. So often, hospital grade products come to mind when thinking of an ADA compliant space. This renovation removed the existing tub and replaced it with a large shower. The zero-height threshold and double glass doors allow for a standard sized PVC wheelchair. A built-in bench gives someone who doesn't require a wheelchair a place to sit. The linear drain along the seat gives a flat floor with a slight pitch in one direction, rather than a drain in the center of the space which would need the floor to be pitched in four directions. The handheld shower is perfect for a sitting bather or care-giver. The pedestal sink with two legs instead of a central center stand gives leg room for someone in a wheelchair. And, as both owners of the home are fully able bodied now, behind the walls is blocking for future grab bars, if needed.

This farmhouse kitchen incorporates the customer’s love of color and rustic materials. Countertops in soapstone and reclaimed wood complement custom color cabinetry. The wall between the dining room and kitchen was removed to create the space for the island. The reclaimed hemlock came from the rafters of an old New England church.

Storage abounds in this compact kitchen. Appliances and convenience hardware were set to the Homeowner's stature to ensure safe, ergonomic access.

A mid-twentieth-century family home on a busy city-wide connector with excellent public transport, and access to employment, services, and shopping. TEAL recognized an opportunity to transform the house into two contemporary dwellings by:
• adding new structures: new stairs and separate entries from the street as well as a service room at the back
• opening the interiors into spacious light-filled open plan living places
• re-presenting the exterior of the building with new hemlock cladding integrated over the existing shingles
• installing efficient new environmental control systems
• reusing many of the materials, including the building envelope and chimney as part of a feature wall

Historical Renovation
Objective: The homeowners asked us to join the project after partial demo and construction was in full
swing. Their desire was to significantly enlarge and update the charming mid-century modern home to
meet the needs of their joined families and frequent social gatherings. It was critical though that the
expansion be seamless between old and new, where one feels as if the home “has always been this
way”.
Solution: We created spaces within rooms that allowed family to gather and socialize freely or allow for
private conversations. As constant entertainers, the couple wanted easier access to their favorite wines
than having to go to the basement cellar. A custom glass and stainless steel wine cellar was created
where bottles seem to float in the space between the dining room and kitchen area.
A nineteen foot long island dominates the great room as well as any social gathering where it is
generally spread from end to end with food and surrounded by friends and family.
Aside of the master suite, three oversized bedrooms each with a large en suite bath provide plenty of
space for kids returning from college and frequent visits from friends and family.
A neutral color palette was chosen throughout to bring warmth into the space but not fight with the
clients’ collections of art, antique rugs and furnishings. Soaring ceiling, windows and huge sliding doors
bring the naturalness of the large wooded lot inside while lots of natural wood and stone was used to
further complement the outdoors and their love of nature.
Outside, a large ground level fire-pit surrounded by comfortable chairs is another favorite gathering
spot.
