The homeowners desired an outdoor space that felt more rustic than their refined interior spaces, but still related architecturally to their house. Cement plaster support arbor columns provide enough of visual tie to the existing house exterior. Oversized wood beams and rafter members provide a unique outdoor atmosphere. Light hardwood floors flow from room to room on the first level. Oil-rubbed bronze light fixtures add a sense of eclectic elegance to the farmhouse setting. Horizontal stair railings give a modern touch to the farmhouse nostalgia. Stained wooden beams contrast beautifully with the crisp white tongue and groove ceiling. A barn door conceals a private, well-lit office or homework nook with bespoke shelving.

It’s all about the view, with a seamless transition from outdoors to inside. We love the modern twist on the traditional waterfront theme, as the ocean is reflected in the hand woven turquoise and blue rug. A custom deep curved sofa provides plenty of family seating, angled for both conversation and a perfect view. The curved shapes of the sofa, coffee table and teal swivel chairs bring softer edges to the condo’s strong architectural angles. The wallpapered tray ceilings mirror the endless sky view from the surrounding windows.

A good use of space with our midcentury modern inspired DRAPER sofa. Draper is a vintage 60's inspired sofa features a button tufted seat and back with a solid walnut base. A sofa James Bond could be seen sipping a martini on. Classic, sexy, and sophisticated...

Home was designed to be a formal house but was now being used as a weekend retreat. Ann Kenkel had to decorate the house in a manner which was coastal enough so owner's felt like they were on vacation yet formal enough for the style of the house. AK found the house filled with wallpaper from the 1980's. Wallpaper from every room was removed and all trim had to be painted a neutral color. The formal dining room only had one entry. AK opened up a second entry into the dining room which provided a view of the Chesapeake Bay. This young family has a great house on a great street in a great location. The kitchen was a large space with ample room and great view to the backyard. The dated cabinets and large peninsula layout however were not working for them, so they came in looking for a fresh start. Goals for the project included adding a large island with seating for four and a bright, open and cheerful space for daily meals and entertaining. Our clients also wanted to keep the existing breakfast table, but the original space did not allow for an island and breakfast table. Our solution was to create banquette seating which gave us the extra inches necessary to accomplish both. The larger awning window over the kitchen sink allows for ample light in the new space. The wall between the kitchen and family room was partially removed to provide the more open feeling our clients desired. The work triangle is centered on the island which serves as a big open prep space conveniently located across from the large pro style range. The island also houses the microwave and a 2nd oven for larger gatherings. A new counter depth fridge and beverage center provide options for refrigeration. A simple pallet of white cabinetry, Carrera marble countertops and polished nickel fixtures will be a timeless look and provide a lovely backdrop for entertaining and spending time with family. Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson designed this downtown loft to reflect the homeowners LOVE FOR THE LOFT! With an energetic look on life, this homeowner wanted a high-quality home with casual sensibility. Comfort and easy maintenance were high on the list... Rebecca and team went to work transforming this 2,000-sq. ft. condo in a record 6 months. The team at Robeson Design on executed Rebecca's vision to insure every detail was built to perfection. 18 linear feet of seating is provided by this super comfortable sectional sofa. 4 small benches with tufted distressed leather tops form together to make one large coffee table but are mobile for the user's needs. Harvest colored velvet pillows tossed about create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Perhaps the favorite elements in this Loft Living Room are the multi hide patchwork rug and the spectacular 72" round light fixture that hangs unassumingly over the seating area. The project was completed on time and the homeowners are thrilled... And it didn't hurt that the ball field was the awesome view out the Living Room window. In this home, all of the window treatments, built-in cabinetry and many of the furniture pieces, are custom designs by Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson made specifically for this project. Embracing the challenge of grounding this open, light-filled space, our Aspen studio focused on comfort, ease, and high design. The built-in lounge is flanked by storage cabinets for puzzles and games for this client who loves having people over. The high-back Living Divani sofa is paired with U-Turn Benson chairs and a "Rabari" rug from Nanimarquina for casual gatherings. The throw pillows are a perfect mix of Norwegian tapestry fabric and contemporary patterns. In the child's bedroom, we added an organically shaped Vitra Living Tower, which also provides a cozy reading niche. Bold Marimekko fabric colorfully complements more traditional detailing and creates a contrast between old and new. We loved collaborating with our client on an eclectic bedroom, where everything is collected and combined in a way that allows distinctive pieces to work together. A custom walnut bed supports the owner's tatami mattress. Vintage rugs ground the space and pair well with a vintage Scandinavian chair and dresser. Combining unexpected objects is one of our favorite ways to add liveliness and personality to a space. In the little guest bedroom, our client (a creative and passionate collector) was the inspiration behind an energetic and eclectic mix. Similarly, turning one of our client's favorite old sweaters into pillow covers and popping a Native American rug on the wall helped pull the space together. Slightly eclectic and invitingly cozy, the twin guestroom beckons for settling in to read, nap or daydream. A vintage poster from Omnibus Gallery in Aspen and an antique nightstand add period whimsy.

The sofa and wing chairs were slipcovered in Schumacher's iconic Chiang Mai Dragon fabric. This fabric was the leaping off point for the entire condo. Built-in bookshelves house the extensive collection of hardcover books, and all the walls, doors, bookshelves were done in Farrow & Ball's Parma Gray. Another Schonbek chandelier is the icing on the cake over the coffee table. Boston Functional Library Lights highlight the wall of built-ins.
