La Madeleine Project Normandy cast stone Fireplace Mantel - Shane Kislack Starting in 2013, Old World Stoneworks has had the honor of providing our cast stone fireplace mantels for six new la Madeleine Country French Cafe projects. These locations include Austin, El Paso, Flower Mound, Fort Worth and Lubbock, TX as well as Lafayette, LA with several future locations in the works. From its signature fireplace to its crave-worthy food, the new design and décor unites comfort with a warm and welcoming French home atmosphere which we were happily able to provide with the use of our Normandy fireplace mantel. Our video was shot on location at a la Madeleine Country French Cafe and should help give you perspective of just how grand our handcrafted fireplace mantels are especially the Normandy.

Challenge: The client wanted a full bathroom transformation while keeping all plumbing in its existing locations to minimize renovation costs, requiring creative design solutions within structural limitations. Solution: The design team reimagined the space by introducing updated finishes, distinctive tile layouts, wallpaper, and statement lighting to elevate the bathroom while working within the existing layout. The project was executed entirely remotely, demonstrating a seamless virtual design process. Materials: Bedrosians tile, Thibaut wallpaper, Arteriors lighting, Kohler plumbing fixtures, Jaipur Living rugs, Made Goods bath mirrors, and Bungalow5 bath stool. This project was part of a major renovation with the closet being one of the largest square footage spaces in the design. The closet was designed from floor to ceiling with cabinets spanning the top and wrapping around the corners to connect the three sections of this closet. The narrow island is used to house ‘His’ shoes while ‘Her’ shoes are showcased on a wall of open shelving. Seventy-one drawers were needed to accomplish enough storage for personal items. The closet was constructed of White Melamine and traditional raised panel faces along with Extra-large crown molding and fascia buildup span and wrap around the entire closet. This closet is also graced with an ironing center cabinet, safe, tilt out hamper and pull out narrow tall cabinets to house necklaces and scarves, pull out mirror, belt racks, tie & belt butlers and valet rods. This vacation home in Falmouth, MA needed lots of TLC inside and out when the family bought it. One of the first projects they completed was replacing the roof. Being by the ocean, it was important that this roof could withstand snow, driving rain, temperature fluctuations and wind gusts up to 130mph – so they chose a GAF Timberline HD roofing system. We completely removed the old roof and started fresh by inspecting deck boards for any rot or insect damage. The boards are then re-nailed before applying underlayment to the whole roof deck. GAF Cobra Ridge Vent, ice and water shield, and drip edge – our roofing systems prevent ice dams and water intrusion from driving rain. A properly vented roof allows air to circulate in the attic to maintain both a constant temperature and prevents excessive moisture buildup.
