The Plymouth was designed to fit into the existing architecture vernacular featuring round tapered columns and eyebrow window but with an updated flair in a modern farmhouse finish. This home was designed to fit large groups for entertaining while the size of the spaces can make for intimate family gatherings. The interior pallet is neutral with splashes of blue and green for a classic feel with a modern twist. Off of the foyer you can access the home office wrapped in a two tone grasscloth and a built in bookshelf wall finished in dark brown. Moving through to the main living space are the open concept kitchen, dining and living rooms where the classic pallet is carried through in neutral gray surfaces with splashes of blue as an accent. The plan was designed for a growing family with 4 bedrooms on the upper level, including the master. The Plymouth features an additional bedroom and full bathroom as well as a living room and full bar for entertaining. Our clients moved from Southern California to Austin, Texas and had some adjusting to do. Their home had a Texas traditional theme, but they wanted to bring in their California bohemian style. They had a lot of great pieces, really cool style, and a ton of books we had to make room for.

in addition to Interior Design, we offer one-of-a-kind furniture refinishing. This writing desk was stripped and stained while the body was painted in a matte black color. This has one large drawer for added storage and is situated right next to the front door for connivence. The large mirror above showcases a feature wall adorned with vintage baskets to tie in to the Bohemian style.

The master bedroom had only one small closet. With two adults sharing the space, more storage was desperately needed. We introduced bump out closets on either side of the windows, adding shelving within (eliminating the need for bureaus) and placing inset mirrors in the doors. This 3,036 sq. ft custom farmhouse has layers of character on the exterior with metal roofing, cedar impressions and board and batten siding details. Inside, stunning hickory storehouse plank floors cover the home as well as other farmhouse inspired design elements such as sliding barn doors.
