A classic, elegant master suite for the husband and wife, and a fun, sophisticated entertainment space for their family -- it was a dream project! To turn the master suite into a luxury retreat for two young executives, we mixed rich textures with a playful, yet regal color palette of purples, grays, yellows and ivories. For fun family gatherings, where both children and adults are encouraged to play, I envisioned a handsome billiard room and bar, inspired by the husband’s favorite pub.

This calming primary bedroom is centered around a square skylight positioned above the bed, filling the space with soft natural light. Woven wallpaper behind the headboard adds texture and warmth, complemented by articulating arm wall sconces for a tailored, functional touch. Blue and white bedding is layered with a cozy fuzzy lumbar pillow, while a tufted off-white bench with a black frame sits at the foot of the bed. What was once a tool box now hangs on the wall to house various necklaces. Even with such rugged origins, the display has a decidedly feminine appeal. "My girlfriend had come across these old tool boxes at an estate sale. The person that owned them painted the tools that hung on each hook, so it makes for a great story," says Jennifer.
