Inspiration for a mid-sized contemporary l-shaped light wood floor and brown floor kitchen remodel in Philadelphia with medium tone wood cabinets, gray backsplash, stone tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island and flat-panel cabinets

Kristin was looking for a highly organized system for her laundry room with cubbies for each of her kids, We built the Cubbie area for the backpacks with top and bottom baskets for personal items. A hanging spot to put laundry to dry. And plenty of storage and counter space.

A remodeled modern kitchen. We removed an 8' dropped ceiling and took it to the rooms existing 13' vault line to take advantage of height and incorporate more natural light in with the transom windows, skylights, front windows, and backsplash windows. Walk through pantry. We used a 9ft cherry butcher-block top applying 15 coats of food safe Walnut Nut oil. Three 36" grey base cabinets with self closing drawers and doors were used and sat directly on top of grey tone rectangle tiles. We added 9ft of of open adjustable all wood component shelving in three 36" units. The shelving is all wood core product with a veneer finish and all maple edges on shelving. The strength is 10x that of particle board systems. These shelves give a custom shelving look with the adjustable of component product. We also added a 48"x72" free standing shelf unit with 6 shelves.

Designed and built by Terramor Homes in Raleigh, NC. The kitchen cabinets were consciously chosen in classic farmhouse style. Pure white and designed to reach the ceiling, clean and simple inset doors with simple classic chrome hardware pulls make for an impressive statement. Soapstone was used on the perimeter, offering the aged traditional look you would find in a classic farm home. However, the island was topped with a slightly more modern white granite with beautiful gray movement to add interest and a hard, reliable prep surface. The island measures an impressive 7 feet by 10 feet, matches the same clean lines, but was custom painted in a deep grayed turquoise to make a statement. It serves 6 seats for everyday eating and conversation and also allows for full functionality while still enjoying all the activity and views surrounding anyone who is spending time the kitchen workspace.
