This modern farmhouse has an industrial twist that is sure to catch the eye of many. Inspired by several boutique hotels in New York City, the selections throughout this home will bring you through a bit of a time capsule. This house sits right on the East side of Lake Washington and has gorgeous views from all main living areas in the home. This house has several unique features such as the custom wine wall that acts as a partition between the formal dining room and dining nook, the brick-lined media room that has an opening to the game room wet bar, a spacious outdoor living area with a fireplace, vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom, and a homework room with a custom sliding steel door.

This remarkable renovation reimagines an entire lower level into a multi-room retreat that reads less like a basement and more like a private members' club. Every inch was designed with intention — layering bold textures, curated art, and a confident mix of moody and luminous palettes to create a space that is simultaneously dramatic and deeply livable. Main Living Area The heart of this renovation is a sweeping living room where refined restraint meets expressive design. Walls are finished with architectural fluted millwork banding near the ceiling — a detail that adds rhythm and sophistication without overwhelming the space. Flanking panels of delicately patterned textured wallpaper frame a striking large-scale abstract canvas in black, white, and gold, which serves as both the focal point and the color story for the entire room. Paired frosted glass capsule sconces with warm brass fittings illuminate the artwork from either side, casting a soft, gallery-like glow. The tile — a mosaic of black, white, and metallic stone set in a kaleidoscopic diamond pattern — catches the light and shifts dramatically depending on the angle. A pair of oversized brass dome pendant lights hang above a sleek island topped in richly veined dark marble, providing both task lighting and a glamorous focal point. Open shelving built into the backsplash wall displays sculptural art objects — including a carved Buddha head and white abstract sculptures — reinforcing the home's gallery aesthetic. A brass spring-coil faucet, integrated beverage refrigerator, and patterned swirl-print ottomans tucked beneath the island make this bar equally functional and unforgettable. Game Room A complete tonal departure, the game room embraces deep, moody drama through floor-to-ceiling dark olive green walls and ceiling. A large-format sage green square tile accent wall grounds a wall-mounted flat screen TV, while a mahogany billiard table with slate blue felt takes center stage on a vintage-style area rug. Dining room - contemporary dining room idea in Singapore

LiLu transformed this Mississippi River primary bath by removing faux finishes, faux columns, and 1980s complexity to refocus the room on sky, water, and wellness. Periwinkle walls, a sculptural freestanding tub, full-height windows, a custom reeded blue vanity with brass hardware and dressing area, a white-gray-gold tile inset, capsule sconces, and herringbone marble create a refined, intentional retreat.

Ancient Elements Stoneworks worked with L.H.S. to restore this custom made stone with the high school mascot on it. A.E.S. donated time and supplies to restore this piece of history for Laramie.

The owners of this 1968 post-and-beam home that is a part of the original Reston planned community were seeking to modernize an untouched “time capsule” house while respecting the existing mid-century bones of the home. An entire renovation to the existing house as well as a two-car garage addition and rear decks help maintain the character of the existing home while further opening up the rear of the home to the nature preserve in the back. *currently under construction.

Inspiration for a 1950s multicolored tile porcelain tile and gray floor powder room remodel in Denver with dark wood cabinets, white walls, quartz countertops, gray countertops and a floating vanity

After searching for the perfect Paris apartment that could double as an atelier for five years, Laure Nell Interiors founder and principal Laetitia Laurent fell in love with this 415-square-foot pied-à-terre that packs a punch. Situated in the coveted Golden Triangle area in the 8th arrondissement—between avenue Montaigne, avenue des Champs-Elysées and avenue George V—the apartment was destined to be fashionable. The building’s Hausmannian architecture and a charming interior courtyard make way for modern interior architectural detailing that had been done during a previous renovation. Hardwood floors with deep black knotting, slatted wood paneling, and blue lacquer in the built-ins gave the apartment an interesting contemporary twist against the otherwise classic backdrop, including the original fireplace from the Hausmann era. Laure Nell Interiors played up this dichotomy with playfully curated furnishings and lighting found during Paris Design Week: a mid-century Tulip table in the dining room, a coffee table from the NV Gallery x J’aime tout chez toi capsule collection, and a fireside chair from Popus Editions, a Paris-London furniture line with a restrained French take on British-inspired hues. In the bedroom, black and white details nod to Coco Chanel and ochre-colored bedding keeps the aesthetic current. A pendant from Oi Soi Oi lends the room a minimalist Asian element reminiscent of Laurent’s time in Kyoto. Thanks to tall ceilings and the mezzanine loft space that had been added above the kitchen, the apartment exudes a feeling of grandeur despite its small footprint. Photos by Gilles Trillard
