This waterfront home was conceived by the architects as a series of identically scaled, simply articulated gable-roofed elements linked by flat-roofed connectors. From the entrance driveway, the house appears almost as a village of individual granite residences. These two elements – gables and flat roofs – complement each other, establishing a dynamic of light and dark, smooth and rough, grounded and floating.
It was critical to the ultimate success of this building that it be well suited and connected to tits content so that it seems like it could not be anywhere else. The home was positioned to capture this view and, in a way, imbue it with power. We responded to this directive by incorporating large expanses of windows that allow one to literally look through the house from the front yard to the sailboats bobbing on the water at the rear.
A short bridge passes over an exterior passage connecting front and rear.

The image captures a luxurious bathroom featuring a double vanity setup with a modern and cohesive design. Two matching wooden vanities with black handles are positioned on either side of the space, each topped with a white marble countertop. Above each vanity, a rectangular mirror with a black frame is accompanied by black wall sconces with exposed bulbs, providing elegant lighting. Potted plants add a touch of greenery to the countertops, while white towels are neatly draped over the edges. Open shelving beneath the vanities holds woven baskets and folded towels for storage. The floor is covered in light-colored mosaic tiles, and a woven rug sits in the center of the space. Through an arched doorway with a glass door, a freestanding bathtub is visible, set against white subway tiles and a pebble-tiled floor, completing the serene and sophisticated bathroom aesthetic.

This beautiful contemporary residence is located in the mountains of Asheville, NC. It encompasses 3,500 square feet of main and lower level living, and was artfully designed by MossCreek to nestle perfectly on the brow of the hill. Design cues such as large windows, mono pitch roofs, simple lines, and geometric forms were all combined by MossCreek to allow for a sleek look both inside and out. Open living spaces abound, and the construction of the home by Living Stone Design and Build captured the look that MossCreek worked so carefully with the owners to achieve.

Framed by mature trees and nestled within Sarasota’s historic McClellan Park, Sunset Place is a home shaped by a deep understanding of, and sensibility for, its setting—reflecting the charm of the neighborhood, the rhythm of downtown living, and the client’s vision of entertaining, connection, and family life. Every decision—from site strategy to spatial flow—was made with intention: to support a lifestyle centered on warmth, community, and a strong sense of place.
At its core, the project is a masterclass in leveraging zoning and code to unlock the full potential of a complex site. Though landlocked, the home lives like waterfront—offering openness, privacy, and expansive sunset views. Placing the pool in the front yard, within the 25-foot setback, redefines the entry experience. It captures the western light and sets a relaxed, resort-like tone from the very first step inside the gate. Paired with a rear-loaded garage, accessed discreetly via the side setback, the layout transforms the site’s limitations into its greatest assets. Architecture and landscape take center stage, while the full buildable envelope is maximized without compromise.
A natural rise of eight feet from front to back—rare in Sarasota—was embraced as an opportunity. Site walls function as both retaining structures and architectural elements, elevating the pool terrace and entry by over four feet to align with the main interior floor level. The result is a fluid connection between indoors and out: kitchen, dining, and living spaces unfold onto the terrace, blurring boundaries and enhancing everyday rituals as well as social gatherings.
Architecturally, the home is coastal contemporary: open yet composed, airy yet grounded. Clarity in the massing tells a story of the inhabitants from the first glance, while the interior planning offers spatial generosity and ease. The interiors echo this sensibility with a palette that is soft, natural, and tactile—serene without being neutral. The landscape design provides a lush tropical frame, softening edges and reinforcing privacy through layered plantings rather than enclosure.
Ultimately, Sunset Place is not defined by any single gesture, but by the way the home reflects its owners. Their gracious, family-centered nature informed every layer of design—resulting in a space that feels deeply personal, tailored for connection and ease, and perfectly suited for gathering, unwinding, and watching the sun slip behind the trees from the comfort of home.

Designed to capture breathtaking lake views, this primary suite blends warm natural materials, custom fluted millwork, and tailored built-ins to create a serene retreat. This inviting breakfast nook captures the essence of modern farmhouse living—warm, functional, and effortlessly refined. Walls painted in Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray create a soft, neutral backdrop, allowing the architectural details and layered textures to take center stage. Custom built-in bench seating and open shelving, finished in Sherwin Williams Alabaster, brighten the space while adding a clean, timeless contrast. The deep-stained bench tops introduce a rich, grounding element that ties beautifully to the warm wood tones of the table and flooring, creating a cozy, anchored feel. A saturated stained ceiling beam draws the eye upward, adding depth and architectural interest while beautifully framing the nook and reinforcing the home’s rustic character. Above, an oxidized nickel pendant light makes a striking statement. Its antique-inspired finish brings a sense of history and character, perfectly balancing the fresh, tailored lines of the space and reinforcing the modern farmhouse aesthetic. Thoughtfully styled shelving adds personality and charm, while natural light pours in through nearby windows, making this nook the perfect spot to gather, unwind, and start the day.

Located in San Juan Capistrano, California this project captures the essence of mid-century modern style, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetic sophistication. This home has a harmonious open floor plan, where each area transitions effortlessly into the next.

Designed for an active family, this exceptional, welcoming Lake Minnetonka home features main level living with lower-level walkout for easy access to the lake, firepit, and sand beach. Amazing views are captured from nearly every main level space, including a unique center kitchen with built-in banquet. The main level opens fully to a screen porch for dining, grilling, and relaxing by the fireplace.

Airy, open, and connected to the lake...at our Lake Country Retreat, the Great Room captures the spirit of coastal living. We used a bright white palette, and tongue and groove ceiling panel framed by beams to set the design theme throughout. Each space is defined, yet the floorplan's open sightlines create a seamless sense of connection and maximize the lake views from every angle.

Designed by Mark Sleith of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Falls Church, VA in collaboration with Mike Parkinson, this eclectic style kitchen remodel features Green Forest Cabinetry in the Park Place door style in two finishes. The base cabinets all features the Norfolk Blue finish and the wall cabinet features a White finish. Kitchen countertops are engineered quartz by Q from MSI in the color Calacatta Trento. The tile backsplash behind the range features Artistic Tile with Blue Note Circles as well as a pot filler faucet.
Said the client, "We are obsessed with our uber-chic new kitchen! Mark was a consummate professional throughout the entire process. I described my ideal space, and he designed something even better that I could have imagined. Not only did he help me create a luxe look within the confines of my budget, he stuck with me throughout every step of the project. Mark went above and beyond to create a design that captured my vision."
Added Mark, "The client was amazing to work with, and had definite ideas of what she liked and did not like. She was open to suggestions, which led us to achieving her design goals. This created a great sense of accomplishment for me as I guided her through the overwhelming maze of remodeling. I am very pleased to have helped her take a not-so-great reason for a remodel and turn it around into an opportunity to create the kitchen she always wanted."

Oceanfront Windsor Estate Renovation | Vero Beach, FL 32963
A full-scale renovation of an oceanfront estate in Windsor, the celebrated New Urbanist seaside community on Vero Beach's barrier island (32963). Our team reimagined this residence as a bright, breezy coastal retreat where every primary room captures the Atlantic, and the original architecture—coffered and beamed ceilings, arched passages, soaring window walls—was preserved and brought fully current.
At the heart of the home, an open kitchen and dining space pairs crisp white cabinetry and stone countertops with terracotta floors, a Viking range beneath a plaster hood, woven pendant lighting, and French doors that fold open to a covered loggia. The great room rises to a vaulted shiplap ceiling under woven chandeliers, anchored by a limestone fireplace and walls of glass. Throughout, the palette stays light and elemental—white oak floors, natural fibers, soft coastal blues—so the ocean remains the focal point.
The renovation extends to a window-wrapped oceanview office, a serene primary bath with frameless walk-in shower and direct sea views, a fully fitted dressing room, an oversized dual laundry, and a beachfront sitting room where turquoise water fills the frame. Upstairs, light-filled lounges and a media room continue the relaxed, refined coastal language.
This is turnkey oceanfront living in one of the Treasure Coast's most distinctive gated communities—Windsor's beach club, golf, equestrian center, and village amenities just beyond the door, with the shops and dining of Vero Beach's barrier island close at hand.

A 2000 sq. ft. family home for four in the well-known Chelsea gallery district. This loft was developed through the renovation of two apartments and developed to be a more open space. Besides its interiors, the home’s star quality is its ability to capture light thanks to its oversized windows, soaring 11ft ceilings, and whitewash wood floors. To complement the lighting from the outside, the inside contains Flos and a Patricia Urquiola chandelier. The apartment’s unique detail is its media room or “treehouse” that towers over the entrance and the perfect place for kids to play and entertain guests—done in an American industrial chic style.
Featured brands include: Dornbracht hardware, Flos, Artemide, and Tom Dixon lighting, Marmorino brick fireplace, Duravit fixtures, Robern medicine cabinets, Tadelak plaster walls, and a Patricia Urquiola chandelier.

With black-framed windows positioned at diagonals, this serene bedroom captures shifting light and different landscape views—anchored by polished concrete floors and crisp white walls.

This condominium is modern and sleek, while still retaining much of its traditional charm. We added paneling to the walls, archway, door frames, and around the fireplace for a special and unique look throughout the home. To create the entry with convenient built-in shoe storage and bench, we cut an alcove an existing to hallway. The deep-silled windows in the kitchen provided the perfect place for an eating area, which we outfitted with shelving for additional storage. Form, function, and design united in the beautiful black and white kitchen. It is a cook’s dream with ample storage and counter space. The bathrooms play with gray and white in different materials and textures to create timeless looks. The living room’s built-in shelves and reading nook in the bedroom add detail and storage to the home. The pops of color and eye-catching light fixtures make this condo joyful and fun.
