We designed a “tree house” suspended above the ground on glued-laminated timber columns supporting two stories, forty feet above the forest floor. Suquamish means “place of clear water”. The care of the land that drove this residence included simple strategies for capturing rain and percolating storm water, minimal excavation and removal of soils, low-impact concrete foundations, and a light structure that captures views of the forest, water, and a distant Seattle skyline to the east.

Inspiration for a rustic wine cellar remodel in Other

Modern mountain home nestled in the forests of North Idaho featuring a striking black exterior, warm cedar accents, and expansive glass that captures the surrounding pine views. This Northwest contemporary design showcases a low-slope roofline, modern garage doors, and clean architectural lines that blend naturally into the wooded landscape. Soft exterior lighting highlights the façade at dusk, while a welcoming front porch and hillside fire pit create inviting outdoor living spaces. Ideal inspiration for anyone looking for modern cabin architecture, dark exterior home palettes, forest homes, or contemporary retreat design.

We were approached to build out a new laundry - mud room for a family of five. This space was an old kitchen which had been demolished and left as a blank canvas. The clients wanted a feeling of a custom, yet refined space that reminded them of a trendy suburban home. The clients had some wonderful ideas on how they envisioned the finished space, with a color palate of whites, blues and blacks. The stacked vented washer and dryer along with an abundance of storage was the main focus of the space and all other items had to make those two focus points work well. Gathering their ideas, with an eye on a custom color we were able to create the space that not only captured exactly what the family envisioned design wise but also functioned just as well.

Conceived more similar to a loft type space rather than a traditional single family home, the homeowner was seeking to challenge a normal arrangement of rooms in favor of spaces that are dynamic in all 3 dimensions, interact with the yard, and capture the movement of light and air. As an artist that explores the beauty of natural objects and scenes, she tasked us with creating a building that was not precious - one that explores the essence of its raw building materials and is not afraid of expressing them as finished. We designed opportunities for kinetic fixtures, many built by the homeowner, to allow flexibility and movement. The result is a building that compliments the casual artistic lifestyle of the occupant as part home, part work space, part gallery. The spaces are interactive, contemplative, and fun. Bedroom - transitional dark wood floor and brown floor bedroom idea in New York with beige walls

Designed for an active family, this exceptional, welcoming Lake Minnetonka home features main level living with lower-level walkout for easy access to the lake, firepit, and sand beach. Amazing views are captured from nearly every main level space, including a unique center kitchen with built-in banquet. The main level opens fully to a screen porch for dining, grilling, and relaxing by the fireplace.

The family purchased the 1950s ranch on Mullet Lake because their daughter dreamed of being married on its shores. The home would be used for the wedding venue and then as a wedding gift to the young couple. We were originally hired in August 2014 to help with a simple renovation of the home that was to be completed well in advance of the August 2015 wedding date. However, thorough investigation revealed significant issues with the original foundation, floor framing and other critical elements of the home’s structure that made that impossible. Based on this information, the family decided to tear down and build again. So now we were tasked with designing a new home that would embody their daughter’s vision of a storybook home – a vision inspired by another one of our projects that she had toured. To capture this aesthetic, traditional cottage materials such as stone and cedar shakes are accentuated by more materials such as reclaimed barn wood siding and corrugated CORTEN steel accent roofs. Inside, interior finishes include hand-hewn timber accents that frame openings and highlight features like the entrance reading nook. Natural materials shine against white walls and simply furnished rooms. While the house has nods to vintage style throughout, the open-plan kitchen and living area allows for both contemporary living and entertaining. inspired spa style sauna, steam shower, whirlpool tub, locker room to an adjacent gym have been very challenging, to capture all amenities that he was inquiring. Space was limited and how build partition walls, created a dilemma to achieve our goals. We had to reconstruct and move bearing posts to gain footsteps for our amazing and rejuvenating spa room. This New Spa was a state of art with a curved tiled bench inside steam room and an Infrared Sauna, soaking whirlpool tub, separate dressing and vanity area just separated from adjacent Gym through pocket doors. New gym with mirrored walls was faced the backyard with a large window. The main room was separated into an entertaining area with large bar and cabinetry, and some built INS facing the backyard. A new French door & window was added to back wall to allow more natural light. Built ins covered with light color natural maple wood tones, we were capturing his nature lifestyle. Through a double glass French door now you enter the state of the art movie theater room. Ceiling star panels, steps row seating, a large screen panel with black velvet curtains has made this space an Icon’s paradise. We have used embedded high quality speakers and surround sound equipped with all new era of projectors, receivers and multiple playing gadgets. The staircase to main level and closet space were redesigned allowing him additional hallway and storage space that he required to have, Intrigued color schemes and fascinating equipment’s has made this basement a place for serenity and excitement

A 2000 sq. ft. family home for four in the well-known Chelsea gallery district. This loft was developed through the renovation of two apartments and developed to be a more open space. Besides its interiors, the home’s star quality is its ability to capture light thanks to its oversized windows, soaring 11ft ceilings, and whitewash wood floors. To complement the lighting from the outside, the inside contains Flos and a Patricia Urquiola chandelier. The apartment’s unique detail is its media room or “treehouse” that towers over the entrance and the perfect place for kids to play and entertain guests—done in an American industrial chic style. Featured brands include: Dornbracht hardware, Flos, Artemide, and Tom Dixon lighting, Marmorino brick fireplace, Duravit fixtures, Robern medicine cabinets, Tadelak plaster walls, and a Patricia Urquiola chandelier.

This is a night view of the Master bedroom as seen through the floor to ceiling windows that capture the long hill country view in such a magnificent way. I fully furnished this tranquil modern space to capture this view in comfort from a large chaise lounge at the windows.
