In this dining space, I used store-bought, linen curtains and customized them with a vibrant trim. The chairs are antique and have been painted with chalk paint and reupholstered.

The corner bookshelf has removable shelves that were painted with chalk paint and then brushed with a dark wax. This treatment made it blend with the Bombay chest accross the room.

The cabinets themselves were existing from IKEA.

I used a blue chalk paint for the base color and then went in with black chalk paint to darken the piece and blend the drawers and blue together. I then put wax over the top. The cow hide print is a fabric that I had left over from upholstering my dining chairs. These are also the original hinges that I painted black and sanded down so the bronze shows to match and blend the cow hide to the rest of the piece. This came together so good, I can't wait to finish the matching dresser and mirrior!
