Inspiration for a french country home design remodel in Toronto

This shabby-chic ballerina room was a custom design for a lovely little four-year old. This room also doubles as the family's guest room, however, so making the design versatile for both children and adults will ensure the design stays relevant as she gets older too! We repurposed the family's heirloom sleigh bed using Old White chalk paint, and added modern style graphic prints in vintage-style frames: old meets new, with a girly twist!

Inspiration for a country home design remodel in Sacramento

The dining room was completely transformed from a dated space with dark red walls and dark wood furniture to a light and airy dining room to include a custom silver maple live edge dining table. The plain ceiling was coiffured and the beadboard was painted in Sherwin Williams Cloak Gray. The homeowners own photography was used throughout the space

Sometimes it's not in the budget to buy all new furniture. This client wanted to keep their existing dining set, but wanted a fresh new look. We painted the pieces with a pale grey chalk paint and lightly distressed them. Adding a new area rug, drapery panels, slipcovered host chairs and a new chandelier helped to spruce up the tired space. Kiernan Photography

Sink Area with D shaped bowl - We created this transitional style kitchen for a client who loves color and texture. When she came to ‘g’ she had already chosen to use the large stone wall behind her stove and selected her appliances, which were all high end and therefore guided us in the direction of creating a real cooks kitchen. The two tiered island plays a major roll in the design since the client also had the Charisma Blue Vetrazzo already selected. This tops the top tier of the island and helped us to establish a color palette throughout. Other important features include the appliance garage and the pantry, as well as bar area. The hand scraped bamboo floors also reflect the highly textured approach to this family gathering place as they extend to adjacent rooms. Dan Cutrona Photography
