When it came to the styling of the dining room, we opted to keep it simple by throwing together a carved wooden bowl full of sand, oyster shells and white pillar candles (pretty and yet low maintenance). On either side of that, we placed a white washed wooden stand with a small vase of flowers.

A niche in the wall allowed for much needed pantry space. A vintage door, painted in chalk paint, pays homage to the eclectic, modern farmhouse feel. Sliding barn doors keep door swings out of the way in this high traffic area.

Downstairs guest room with opening to full bath on the main level. This room looks even larger than the 10 ft. ceilings because the walls and ceiling are painted the same color. Bari, the client’s youngest daughter, has always been very creative so her mother and I wanted to work with her to create a space where she could fully and unapologetically be herself! Everything was removed from the space including the carpet tiles and the walls were painted white. She wanted a clean industrial-style space so we had a whole wall dedicated to sketches and doodles (the wall is white chalk paint). We also had a custom life-size pegboard custom made with adjustable peg shelves for her ever-changing needs. The 86x46 drafting table with a zink top and swivel stools was custom-made by a carpenter in Georgia. Personal touches were a must so pieces of Bari's art were framed in white for inspiration. The 1950's easel was found by her mother on Etsy and the tv logos were hand-painted by a local artist for her “chill zone”.

When it came to the design of their home in Williamsburg, VA our clients wanted to do something FUN and BOLD. Taking cues from the location of the home and our client's love of Palm Beach, we designed their space using a color palette of aqua and white; along with plenty of coastal accents and elegant details.

French country home design photo in Toronto

This foyer was originally a medium tan color with a heavy, dark chandelier. The client wanted to brighten up the space and create a more modern entry. The outdated chandelier was replaced with a chrome one with plenty of light. The warm wood floor was partially covered with a gray, blue and white rug. A gray upholstered bench with nailhead trim was added as a place to set bags and purses when entering. An antique wood cabinet that belonged to the client was painted in a pale gray Annie Sloan chalk paint and the hardware was updated to a brushed nickel. A silver, sunburst mirror was hung for last minute touch ups on the way out the door. Photography from a local artist, as well as blue, silver, and grey decor, was added to complete the room.
