Lily's pretty bedroom bathed in romantic cross light from several sources. Vintage wallpaper is hard to find and hard to hang, but so worth it. The curtains are vintage florals, and the floor is cheap and cheerful painted plywood. We renovated this beautiful pre-war space to create a gracious, light-filled family home. We raised the ceilings to 10 feet, added substantial mouldings and casing details, and restored the original wood floors. The kitchen cabinets are by South Slope Woodworks in Brooklyn, with walnut veneer base cabinets and hardware-less matte white upper cabinets. Hexagon tile backsplash is the Atom line from Nemo Tile. http://www.houzz.com/pro/rogerscheck/roger-scheck-photography The budget didn't allow for cabinetry so we re-purposed the old kitchen uppers by painting them and adding a painted shelf above to extend across the window. The counter was made from an unfinished, unbore stain grade door from Lowes. We added a trim to the front and a coat of stain and it's a beautiful, inexpensive folding counter.
