We decided on a retro look for our new kitchen with lots of display shelving, happy colors, laminate counters (no cracking!), a chubby old stove, period details and “linoleum” flooring.

A custom hutch with glass doors and shaker style mullions to the far end of the kitchen creates additional storage for cook books, tea pots and small appliances. One of the drawers is fitted with an electrical outlet and serves as charging station for I-Pads and cell phones.

This kitchen is a prime example of beautifully designed functionality. From the spacious maple butcher block island & eating bar to the roll-up pass through window for outdoor entertaining, the space can handle whatever situation the owners throw at it. The Espresso stain on these Medallion cabinets of Cherry wood really anchors the whimsy of the yellow bar stools and the ginger-tone checkerboard Marmoleum floor. We were approached to build out a new laundry - mud room for a family of five. This space was an old kitchen which had been demolished and left as a blank canvas. The clients wanted a feeling of a custom, yet refined space that reminded them of a trendy suburban home. The clients had some wonderful ideas on how they envisioned the finished space, with a color palate of whites, blues and blacks. The stacked vented washer and dryer along with an abundance of storage was the main focus of the space and all other items had to make those two focus points work well. Gathering their ideas, with an eye on a custom color we were able to create the space that not only captured exactly what the family envisioned design wise but also functioned just as well.

Laundry Room went from a pass-through to a statement room with the addition of a custom marble counter, custom cabinetry, a replacement vintage window sash, and Forno linoleum flooring. Moravian Star pendant gives a touch of magic!
