A colorblocked wall in Purple Passion provides the perfect backdrop as an enhancement of the artist's own original artwork. We added coffered ceilings with recessed lighting; the interesting definition is created in the new coffered ceiling by adding additional depth with gray paint. This balances the purple wall and coordinates with sofa and animal print on the chairs. A hand-knotted custom rug in a contemporary pattern grounds the conversation grouping, and motorized shades can be lowered to protect the furnishings or raised to any point to expose the beautiful ocean view. This bedroom on Sunset Cliffs in Sand Diego was designed for a lovely and well-traveled couple who likes to keep their space minimal and organized. They like color and simplicity. a new bath added on to this home during renovation showcases large format glossy gray shower tile with mixed pattern porcelain on walls running right into the shower tub wall. brass accents and a floating vanity round out the look.

This beautiful study was part of a whole house design and renovation by Haven Design and Construction. For this room, our objective was to create a feminine and sophisticated study for our client. She requested a design that was unique and fresh, but still warm and inviting. We wallpapered the back of the bookcases in an eye catching metallic vine pattern to add a feminine touch. Then, we selected a deep gray tone from the wallpaper and painted the bookcases and wainscoting in this striking color. We replaced the carpet with a light wood flooring that compliments the gray woodwork. Our client preferred a petite desk, just large enough for paying bills or working on her laptop, so our first furniture selection was a lovely black desk with feminine curved detailing and delicate star hardware. The room still needed a focal point, so we selected a striking lucite and gold chandelier to set the tone. The design was completed by a pair of gray velvet guest chairs. The gold twig pattern on the back of the chairs compliments the metallic wallpaper pattern perfectly. Finally the room was carefully detailed with unique accessories and custom bound books to fill the bookcases.

This spa like master bath was transformed into an eye catching oasis featuring a marble patterned accent wall, freestanding tub and spacious corner shower. His and hers vanities face one another, while the toilet is tucked away in a separate water closet. The beaded chandelier over the tub serves as a beautiful focal point and accents the curved picture window that floods the bath with natural light.

Light drenches a pass-through that serves as this South Carolina mountain home’s office, making it an ideal spot to work, daydream or take in the idyllic views. Dark taupe moldings add contrast and depth and are balanced by ivory walls. Charcoal grey and white draperies in a graphic pattern frame windows painted Sherwin Williams Black Fox. Woven blinds hang in the windows providing both privacy and light control. Traditional cabinets in a two-tone coloration are customized with gothic arches. The exteriors are painted the same taupe as the moldings and the interiors are stained to coordinate with the blinds, adding moments of rich brown at every glance. Filling the shelves are vintage books, family mementos and a lifetime of accolades. A Persian rug in aqua, gray and vanilla anchors the space while solidifying the color palette. A tufted leather desk chair with black nickel nails stands next to an ebony stained desk who’s intricately turned legs complement the home’s stately style. A taupe limed-oak side table holds a charming vintage telephone and ecru vase filled with local blooms. An architectural print framed in black hangs on a wall awash in mountain light. A glimpse of the guest room can be seen just beyond, its tufted chair beckoning visitors to make themselves at home.
