This remodel consisted of a whole house transformation. We took this 3 bedroom dated home and turned it into a 5 bedroom award winning showpiece, all without an addition. By reworking the awkward floor plan and lowering the living room floor to be level with the rest of the house we were able to create additional space within the existing footprint of the home. What was once the small lack-luster master suite, is now 2 kids bedrooms that share a jack and jill bath. The master suite was relocated to the first floor, and the kitchen that was located right at the front door, is now located in the back of the home with great access to the patio overlooking the golf course. Bedroom - mid-sized transitional bedroom idea in Wilmington with white walls and no fireplace

Both the master bath and the guest bath were in dire need of a remodel. The guest bath was a much simpler project, basically replacing what was there in the same location with upgraded cabinets, tile, fittings fixtures and lighting. The most dramatic feature is the patterned floor tile and the navy blue painted ship lap wall behind the vanity. The master was another project. First, we enlarged the bathroom and an adjacent closet by straightening out the walls across the entire length of the bedroom. This gave us the space to create a lovely bathroom complete with a double bowl sink, medicine cabinet, wash let toilet and a beautiful shower.

This bathroom was completely remodeled with an all white colour scheme complete with a mixture of various marble types. Marble includes a pattern of carra marble, venato marble and callacatta marble. We sourced a home depot white freestanding vanity cabinet and placed a custom made carrara marble counter on top of it with undermount oval sinks. Master ensuite features a black vanity with modern brushed gold pulls, white quartz counter top, brushed gold faucets, aged gold brass wall sconces, black framed rectangular mirrors against a ceramic tile wood design wall.

This living room design has so much variety: textures, patterns, colours, and materials. The black and gold accent wall ties all of these elements together.

Geometrical 3D tiles adds interest for a feature wall in the powder room. Striking black and white contrast creates a modern look while a wood tone tile and brass hardware adds warmth to the space.

The bathroom is generously lit by natural light from two skylights above. A subtle but graphic pattern plays with the finish of standard white subway tile and wraps all sides of the ‘wet-room.’ A wall-hung toilet floats off the floor and makes for easy cleaning. Photo by Scott Norsworthy
