Inspiration for a mid-sized mid-century modern freestanding desk light wood floor and brown floor home office remodel in Los Angeles with white walls and no fireplace

This was a full gut an renovation. The existing kitchen had very dated cabinets and didn't function well for the clients. A previous desk area was turned into hidden cabinetry to house the microwave and larger appliances and to keep the countertops clutter free. The original pendants were about 4" wide and were inappropriate for the large island. They were replaced with larger, brighter and more sophisticated pendants. The use of panel ready appliances with large matte black hardware made gave this a clean and sophisticated look. Mosaic tile was installed from the countertop to the ceiling and wall sconces were installed over the kitchen window. A different tile was used in the bar area which has a beverage refrigerator and an ice machine and floating shelves. The cabinetry in this area also includes a pullout drawer for dog food.

This living room was designed for my great clients that required a stylish and comfortable space for entertaining friends and relaxing after a long day. The barn door was designing custom for this couple. It's double sided, with the same beautiful finish on both sides. We also designed the custom board and batten wall treatment around the perimeter of this space and into the hallway to give the space some depth as well as a great architectural wall feature. Most of the accessories in this space are from Pottery Barn as well as World Market. The sofa was purchased by the homeowners before we began this project.

Andrew Kist A 750 square foot top floor apartment is transformed from a cramped and musty two bedroom into a sun-drenched aerie with a second floor home office recaptured from an old storage loft. Multiple skylights and a large picture window allow light to fill the space altering the feeling throughout the days and seasons. Views of New York Harbor, previously ignored, are now a daily event. Inspiration for a shabby-chic style medium tone wood floor family room remodel in New York with beige walls

A West Village Bachelor pad bedroom, featuring a hand-painted geometric design that highlights the pre-war features of the space, like the picture moldings. Additionally, because the client wanted both a work space and a place to put his TV (the pre-war wall could not hold a wall mounted tv!), we designed a custom desk/console piece out of reclaimed wood and metal hairpin legs that served both purposes, and fit the space perfectly.
