This master bathroom was carpeted originally, which is usually a poor choice for an area prone to spilled water. We removed all the carpet and replaced it with a basket weave porcelain tile in black and white. This tile stretches into the closet and has a secret: it's heated! No more cold feet!

The kitchen now has a bamboo stove cover, bringing in a natural element, and a luxurious rug underfoot, spoiling your sense of touch and keeping bare feet warm on cold days. The brown mugs and oversized tray have been replaced with colorful blue ones and a much smaller tray, giving back coveted counter space. A glass soap dispenser replaces the plastic disposable one; a low-cost, high-impact change.

This Master Bathroom was created with light, ambiance and functionality in mind. The basketweave marble tile flooring is a classic tile bordered in a white thassos rectangular tile. The Thassos Beveled Brick is used for the tall wainscoting and shower walls with two rows of a thin grey tile accent. The dark wood tone of the cabinet and face of the tub create a rich offset to the carrara marble countertop and tub top. The vaulted ceiling helps to create the light open feeling. The Horchow Mirrored Vanity is the focal point of the bathroom as it it perfectly centered underneath the window, boxed ridge beam, three crystal pendants and double door opening into the bathroom. The sink cabinet was designed to look like a furniture piece with the custom feet at the toekick, pop out of the middle area and crystal hardware.

If your used to wearing socks or slippers around the house to avoid cold floors under your feet, then you’ll appreciate floating cork floors.
