Like most kitchens, this kitchen had deep cabinets which made organization difficult. They also had 2 sinks that they were losing space with and needed options for storage. We made custom pantry roll out drawers, 2 tiered roll out drawers for below the sinks and a custom cabinet with a roll up garage and shelf for their coffee essentials.

Hired mid demolition, Regan Baker Design Inc. partnered with the first-time home owners and construction team to help bring this two-bedroom two-bath condo some classic casual character. Cabinetry design, finish selection, furniture and accessories were all designed and implemented within a 6-month period. To add interest in the living room RBD added white oak paneling with a v-groove to the ceiling and clad the fireplace in a terra cotta tile. The space is completed with a Burning Man inspired painting made for the client by her sister!

Step 2: Open Shelving (with a Twist) -- I made the shelf using a board and a few wood brackets that I found at the hardware store. I primed and painted them with the same high-gloss oil paint I used for the cabinets. Under the shelf I added a brass rod (another hardware-store find) and S-hooks for coffee cups. To attach the rod to the shelf, I used a drill bit the same diameter as the rod to make holes through the wood brackets and then threaded the pipe through.
