This 5,077 square foot Traditional Coastal Colonial custom home was designed by P2 Design. The home displays harmonious symmetry, with a horizontal white siding façade, van deusen blue wood shutters that complement the tasteful matching paneled front door, and natural stone chimneys. The architectural style fits neatly in the neighborhood by drawing on the surrounding colonial homes, giving it a touch of history, and blending it with a more casual traditional coastal appearance. From grand estates, to exquisite country homes, to whole house renovations, the quality and attention to detail of a "Significant Homes" custom home is immediately apparent. Full time on-site supervision, a dedicated office staff and hand picked professional craftsmen are the team that take you from groundbreaking to occupancy. Every "Significant Homes" project represents 45 years of luxury homebuilding experience, and a commitment to quality widely recognized by architects, the press and, most of all....thoroughly satisfied homeowners. Our projects have been published in Architectural Digest 6 times along with many other publications and books. Though the lion share of our work has been in Fairfield and Westchester counties, we have built homes in Palm Beach, Aspen, Maine, Nantucket and Long Island.

Over the years, we have created hundreds of dream homes for our clients. We make it our job to get inside the hearts and minds of our clients so we can fully understand their aesthetic preferences, project constraints, and – most importantly – lifestyles. Our portfolio includes a wide range of architectural styles including Neo-Colonial, Georgian, Federal, Greek Revival, and the ever-popular New England Cape (just to name a few). Our creativity and breadth of experience open up a world of design and layout possibilities to our clientele. From single-story living to grand scale homes, historical preservation to modern interpretations, the big design concepts to the smallest details, everything we do is driven by one desire: to create a home that is even more perfect that you thought possible.

Master bedroom with expansive ceilings. Large trim details and dark hardwood flooring. The Chandelier is a great focal point and stacking the art really nice the room volume.

Hull Historical recently finished a remodel to this 1940’s Colonial Revival. On the first floor we worked on molding design as well as a new kitchen. A narrow access from the breakfast/ eating area to the kitchen was opened up and new kitchen was built featuring marble floors, counters and backsplash. Children can easily come and go via the Mud Room door to the backyard play area. The space also multi functions as a connection to the laundry, artist studio and garage. Custom cabinetry offers plenty of options to stow away jackets, bags and shoes. The dark hardware contrasts nicely against the white and gray cabinetry, and the plank wall provides durability to the built-in. The deep wooden bench relates to the wood floors throughout the rest of the main level, while the porcelain tile provides durability and a playful pattern to greet the family every day.
