Work from home has been the governor’s command since March and boy did this desk get used!! We shot it only now, but my clietn has been busy working and crafting on this generous deask compared to the small station hse had for herself earlier. When you are home and can work in a good environment, work feels nicer!! We love the brass details on the chair and the desk with those acrylic legs. Some blush accessories and this is a home office fit for a girl boss!!

This client was so much fun to design for. Their project was all about color, texture and creating a master bedroom and guest bedroom that compliments their passion for traveling and eclectic style. We created a seating area in the master bedroom where the family can gather at night to read and spend time quality time. Their desire for deep color and bold pattern allowed us to create a casual space that is both warm and inviting at the end of a long day. Guests often visit and stay for a bit. They wanted to give their family and friends the same cozy feel in their guest bedroom. We were able to use a combination of patterns, textures and colors with our custom-made bedding and pillows. We also love to repurpose where we can and painted furniture is a great place to start. The depth of color used here is a true reflection of our clients' warm and friendly personality that says "welcome to our home."

This last photo clearly shows the home’s transformation, especially compared to the first shot. The white exterior paint admirably enhances the home’s greenery. The old gray color would have looked particularly drab on an overcast day. The brilliant white simply says, ‘Welcome.’

The homeowners were preparing for design-build and permitting conversations and needed clear, realistic visuals to judge curb appeal and proportions before committing to construction. The owner needed 3D visualization to solve zoning setback flexibility, site conditions and design integration.
We first modeled the entire house front and produced a couple of clay shots. Seeing them the owners decided that they have to go with a 30 feet setback.
After confirming the 30-foot setback option, we moved forward with a full set of colored visuals. These showed the new porch integration, the garage interior, the updated driveway layout, and a few exterior color options so the homeowners could compare finishes and make confident decisions.

This is a great shot of how much larger the kitchen is now compared to beforehand. The modern farmhouse is captured in the sharp white cabinets (modern) and the lantern lights and warm flooring (farmhouse).

Who said that a Burbank bungalow home needs to be doll and old fashioned.
In this Burbank remodeling project we took this 1200sq. bungalow home and turned it to a wonderful mixture of European modern kitchen space and calm transitional modern farmhouse furniture and flooring.
The kitchen was a true challenge since space was a rare commodity, but with the right layout storage and work space became abundant.
A floating 5' long sitting area was constructed and even the back face of the cabinets was used for wine racks.
Exterior was updated as well with new black windows, new stucco over layer and new light fixtures all around.
both bedrooms were fitted with huge 10' sliding doors overlooking the green backyard.

Traditional kitchen design with upgraded appliances. Gas cook top with electric wall oven and microwave. The decorative hood cover was custom built and stained by our Crew Members in our Hudson, FL warehouse. The back splash features 4x4-inch travertine tiles with tumbled edge integrated with bronze inserts, ogee molding at counter top. The ogee molding was also used to frame the diamond pattern travertine tile with larger bronze inserts. This kitchen is quite a conversational piece when compared to the before shots!

From this angle, the Bainbridge bathroom tells a different story than a straight-on floor shot. The eye lands first on the long vanity counter, then drops to the wood-look tile that carries the room toward the doorway, its warm brown planks softening the dark cabinets and echoing the stone countertop. That continuity matters in a bathroom, where a floor has to look calm underfoot while coping with water, steam, and morning routines. Capell Flooring laid the planks in a straight, unhurried pattern, so the surface reads wide and steady rather than chopped up, and the grout stays quiet enough to let the wood grain do the talking. For Boise and Meridian homeowners, tile like this offers a practical middle ground: the warmth of wood, the easy cleanup of a hard surface, and a water-resistant surface that suits a busy household. Family-owned since 1974, Capell Flooring has helped Treasure Valley families choose bathroom floors that age gracefully instead of dating fast. Visit the showroom at 2640 E. State Ave, Suite 140, Meridian, to compare tile planks and tones in person.

The living room in a private residence at the Icon Brickell condominiums in Miami, FL
This shot of the great room shows blue and silver hues from the city view, this was the main point of the residence that we wanted to highlight. If you compare this image to the before picture of the great room, you'll see that we hid the column in the corner by covering it with mirrors from the floor to the ceiling. We followed the cool color palette by choosing white and silver furniture and an area rug. The gold as you can clearly see in this photo however was used to warm up the room.

Sash were replaced within existing frames except new double hung windows at far left which replaced a wrap-around corner window. Street trees in foreground are crape myrtle.

We reduced the number of glass profiles in the uppers to hide the practical items that aren't as pretty. Swapping about huge base cabinets with useful drawers offered more options for this service area.

This is an organic Lime Wash done with a true lime wash product as opposed to a brick mortar or concrete that is often seen on new houses. This product can be applied as a solid coating making the surface completely white, or can be applied and "washed off" in many artistic ways, as seen here. If you hate your brick or just want something unique this is a great option!

This LEED Platinum certified house reflects the homeowner's desire for an exceptionally healthy and comfortable living environment, within a traditional neighborhood.
INFILL SITE. The family, who moved from another area of Wellesley, sought out this property to be within walking distance of the high school and downtown area. An existing structure on the tight lot was removed to make way for the new home. 84% of the construction waste, from both the previous structure and the new home, was diverted from a landfill. ZED designed to preserve the existing mature trees on the perimeter of the property to minimize site impacts, and to maintain the character of the neighborhood as well as privacy on the site.
EXTERIOR EXPRESSION. The street facade of the home relates to the local New England vernacular. The rear uses contemporary language, a nod to the family’s Californian roots, to incorporate a roof deck, solar panels, outdoor living space, and the backyard swimming pool. ZED’s careful planning avoided to the need to face the garage doors towards the street, a common syndrome of a narrow lot.
THOUGHTFUL SPACE. Homes with dual entries can often result in duplicate and unused spaces. In this home, the everyday and formal entry areas are one and the same; the front and garage doors share the entry program of coat closets, mudroom storage with bench for removing your shoes, and a laundry room with generous closets for the children's sporting equipment. The entry area leads directly to the living space, encompassing the kitchen, dining and sitting area areas in an L-shaped open plan arrangement. The kitchen is placed at the south-west corner of the space to allow for a strong connection to the dining, sitting and outdoor living spaces. A fire pit on the deck satisfies the family’s desire for an open flame while a sealed gas fireplace is used indoors - ZED’s preference after omitting gas burning appliances completely from an airtight home. A small study, with a window seat, is conveniently located just off of the living space. A first floor guest bedroom includes an accessible bathroom for aging visitors and can be used as a master suite to accommodate aging in place.
HEALTHY LIVING. The client requested a home that was easy to clean and would provide a respite from seasonal allergies and common contaminants that are found in many indoor spaces. ZED selected easy to clean solid surface flooring throughout, provided ample space for cleaning supplies on each floor, and designed a mechanical system with ventilation that provides a constant supply of fresh outdoor air. ZED selected durable materials, finishes, cabinetry, and casework with low or no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and no added urea formaldehyde.
YEAR-ROUND COMFORT. The home is super insulated and air-tight, paired with high performance triple-paned windows, to ensure it is draft-free throughout the winter (even when in front of the large windows and doors). ZED designed a right-sized heating and cooling system to pair with the thermally improved building enclosure to ensure year-round comfort. The glazing on the home maximizes passive solar gains, and facilitates cross ventilation and daylighting.
ENERGY EFFICIENT. As one of the most energy efficient houses built to date in Wellesley, the home highlights a practical solution for Massachusetts. First, the building enclosure reduces the largest energy requirement for typical houses (heating). Super-insulation, exceptional air sealing, a thermally broken wall assembly, triple pane windows, and passive solar gain combine for a sizable heating load reduction. Second, within the house only efficient systems consume energy. These include an air source heat pump for heating & cooling, a heat pump hot water heater, LED lighting, energy recovery ventilation, and high efficiency appliances. Lastly, photovoltaics provide renewable energy help offset energy consumption. The result is an 89% reduction in energy use compared to a similar brand new home built to code requirements.
RESILIENT. The home will fare well in extreme weather events. During a winter power outage, heat loss will be very slow due to the super-insulated and airtight envelope– taking multiple days to drop to 60 degrees even with no heat source. An engineered drainage system, paired with careful the detailing of the foundation, will help to keep the finished basement dry. A generator will provide full operation of the all-electric house during a power outage.
OVERALL. The home is a reflection of the family goals and an expression of their values, beautifully enabling health, comfort, safety, resilience, and utility, all while respecting the planet.
