A stationary glass panel keeps the water in and eliminates the need for a door. Glass tile on the walls compliments the marble on the floor while maintaining the modern feel of the space.

The kitchen and bathrooms in this 20th-Century house in Lake Oswego were given an elegant update. The kitchen was made more spacious for entertaining friends and family. A corner of the space was extended to create more room for an expansive island, an entertainment bar, and storage. The look was completed with dainty pendants, a Taj Mahal quartzite natural stone countertop, and custom cabinets. The bathrooms are deeply relaxing spaces with light hues, a marble shower and floors, and abundant natural light. Project by Portland interior design studio Jenni Leasia Interior Design. Secret Gardens is regularly presented with new and challenging designs. This warehouse renovation required a complete overhaul of the internal warehouse courtyard and front entrance. Previous renovations had ‘domesticated’ the building, a poor departure from its warehouse origins. The front was given a sophisticated finish with balconies added onto bedrooms and large garage and entrance doors created with a bronze/copper finish. The internal courtyard pool was modernised, BBQ and cabinetry added and the finishing touches of plants added in pots and hanging from the beams to bring greenery to this industrial space. The end result has enhanced the warehouse appeal with a modern touch.

Inspiration for a contemporary bedroom remodel in DC Metro

We love to collaborate, whenever and wherever the opportunity arises. For this mountainside retreat, we entered at a unique point in the process—to collaborate on the interior architecture—lending our expertise in fine finishes and fixtures to complete the spaces, thereby creating the perfect backdrop for the family of furniture makers to fill in each vignette. Catering to a design-industry client meant we sourced with singularity and sophistication in mind, from matchless slabs of marble for the kitchen and master bath to timeless basin sinks that feel right at home on the frontier and custom lighting with both industrial and artistic influences. We let each detail speak for itself in situ.

Our designer has achieved a stylish look by combining dark cabinets and light-colored marbles.

The key design driver for the project was to create a simple but contemporary extension that responded to the existing dramatic topography in the property’s rear garden. The concept was to provide a single elegant form, cantilevering out into the tree canopies and over the landscape. Conceived as a house within the tree canopies the extension is clad in sweet chestnut which enhances the relationship to the surrounding mature trees. Large sliding glass panels link the inside spaces to its unique environment. Internally the design successfully resolves the Client’s brief to provide an open plan and fluid layout, that subtly defines distinct living and dining areas. The scheme was completed in April 2016

This is a recent remodel we completed. Unfortunately no before picture but it was a very dated traditional oak railing system. We used Hammered Iron Spindles and a custom Turned Newel Post. The wood is Clear Alder.
