Limestone steps and terraces float through the gardens drawing the visitor into the landscape. A gradual approach to the house softens the steep site and strengthens the connection of the house to the street and neighbourhood. The planting, composed of a colour palette of pale blues and silvers, displays varying textures of grasses, bold architectural perennials, and the soft silvery mounds of the Lamb’s Ear that contrast beautifully against the clean lines of the steps and terraces. The back garden showcases a generous limestone terrace that blurs the lines between house and garden and an intimate dining area settled into the Oak trees. Viewed from many vantage points throughout the house, a grove of serviceberries at the back of the garden, nestled in a matrix planting of ferns and native groundcovers, provides a contemporary nod to the ravine setting and a dynamic seasonal backdrop.

Closet - industrial closet idea in San Francisco

Floor & walls are mainly chiseled edge travertine on a Lyon's Pattern. The tree is composed of travertine and copper. The mosaic in the tree in larger tile broken into smaller pieces, then each little piece was placed individually to create this effect. The copper came in a sheet which was cut down then glued to the wall. The shower pan is river rock with tree roots. Chisled edge granite benches & shelves compliment this design. In-floor heat finishes this project.

Craig Bergmann Landscape Design was commissioned to design a garden for an avid collector of fine Asian antiquities. Nestled among a woodland setting, the garden was created to complement an array of fine sculpture and relics. On the left side we can find the man closet. This is made in a modular way, and lacquered in finish blue oil. Its steel hangers are adjustable according to the height of the subject. The furniture also has a cabinet with drawers lined with orange skin. The men's shoes storage is composed of shelves which allow to separate the shoes for an every day use from the most stylish shoes to wear on special occasions .

Benjamin Moore's Artichoke was used for a warm kitchen. The marble countertop is an Arabescato Cochia from Italy. Backsplash are vertical beadboard panels composed of a resin infused wood, that are moisture resistant. Client wanted something different than tile or stone for a ‘modern cottage’ look

Balanced shade, dappled sunlight, and tree canopy views are the basis of the 518 Sacramento Drive house design. The entry is on center with the lot’s primary Live Oak tree, and each interior space has a unique relationship to this central element. Composed of crisply-detailed, considered materials, surfaces and finishes, the home is a balance of sophistication and restraint.
