The owners of this classic century home wanted to install a pool for cooling dips, a hot tub to extend the season plus have enough patio space for lounging. To make room in their small backyard they had to remove an existing large raised concrete terrace with integral ledgerock walls.

The pool is equipped with an automatic safety cover with a custom stone walk-on lid system. The raised water feature has a raised brick wall with a curved capstone, Limestone-cladded basin and weir openings to create a unique spillway underneath the statuary. The stone and brick pick up the same elements from the house, providing symmetry in the space. The pool features a custom black granite liner with black basalt bullnose coping which contrasts beautifully with the acid washed concrete deck. The architectural stamped concrete is dusted with black aggregate speckles which twinkle in the sun. The minimal saw cuts in the deck enhance the clean look as does the horizontal plank fence of Ipe Brazilian hardwood.
