Set in the rolling hills of Calistoga, this Winery Estate is a quiet escape that balances hospitality with intimacy. Interiors layer warmth and texture—from pendant-lit kitchen spaces to a lounge where mirrors and soft fixtures amplify vineyard views. The dining room offers subtle drama with a sculptural chandelier and layered tablescape, while upstairs bedrooms provide serene, understated accommodations. Outdoors, a shaded pergola and inviting pavilion extend living into the landscape, blending reflection with connection. Client Said:
“Protech is a great professional group to work with. They did an excellent job on our home project. They started the job on the scheduled day and were very organized in their approach to it. One of the hardest, honest, politest crew of craftsmen we’ve ever had in our home. They even did some repairs for me on a previous home project, no questions asked. Their repair was perfect and with no additional costs to me. Their fees for our home updates were reasonable and very fair. I will not hesitate to use them again for any future home projects!”

The client had fallen in love with the curvy bath and absolutely had to have it so I created the rest of the design to complement this hero piece. As the client wanted to lean into their feminine side we chose some beautiful dappled hexagon tiles in variegated shades of dusky pink and putty, which matched the vibe of the bath nicely. We chose a deep, rich indigo for the joinery to ground the scheme and to still maintain the overarching elegance of the design, emphasis on feminine - not girly!
The quadrant shower echoes the curves of the bath and its sleek, minimalist design showcase the beauty of the tiles. The flooring is a gloriously pale stone which produces an amazing tactile experience in a subtle way without overshadowing the rest of the scheme.
Joinery is kept simple in a deep, rich indigo to give some warmth to the room and ground the space with clean lines to make sure everything is kept uncluttered.
The result is a gentle, restful sanctuary perfect for whiling hours away contemplating the world.

A teenage girl's room thats a departure from the ordinary. This space was meticulously crafted to capture her love for music, museums, literature, and moments of quiet contemplation. Our design journey took us on a quest to create a space that not only exudes a moody atmosphere but also serves as a haven for relaxation, study, and cherished gatherings with friends.

Relaxing, reflective and contemplative space with dense native planting to protect from the biting winter winds while maintain clear views to the water was the design goal.

When you love something and you realize after years, you’ve inadvertently put that away, a good designer will help you bring that back out. That was Turnstyle’s responsibility here with this recent client project: bring back the joy of spending time in a home library. This space is precious to me, because I’ve known it for all the many years I’ve been working on this home. It sits proudly in the center of the house, greeting people upon entry, and, in my opinion, was a jewel box ready to receive its shine. We blew through a wall to allow it a more spacious entrance, helping anyone who visits to immediately see the stunning on-the-lake view. I applied custom wall to wall antique glass to each wall, floor to ceiling, to enhance the view, make the walls feel like they fall away, and also reflect all the now beautiful art and furniture pieces as part of its new design. Influences from things gathered, stunning reworked furniture from the 1970s and all around functional hero items, allow for better working. The main push residing in really enabling quality time there. This space is open is now refreshing and full of beautiful objects and memorabilia. An inspiring place to contemplate, one is surrounded, and influenced, by a strong, fully fleshed out space through my extensive love of pattern, color and unusual combinations.
