Chinoise botanical wallpaper and bamboo lights present a lively textural contrast within this 1753 home’s historic structure. The young family who lives here craved rich colors and vibrant patterns, influenced by their appreciation for Asian art and love of gardening. Sculptural lighting pieces brighten the previously-dark interiors with an interplay between contemporary and traditional aesthetics. Custom built-ins provide important function for the family while serving to divide large open spaces and offer degrees of privacy. A playful adult bar was created in the original dining room, featuring bold blue “Garden Pagoda” wallpaper, a custom cut Carrara marble bar top, and furnishings and accessories in contrasting and complimentary styles.

This was a fascinating project for incredible clients. To optimize costs and timelines, our Montecito studio took the existing Craftsman style of the kitchen and transformed it into a more contemporary one. We reused the perimeter cabinets, repainted for a fresh look, and added new walnut cabinets for the island and the appliances wall. The solitary pendant for the kitchen island was the focal point of our design, leaving our clients with a beautiful and everlasting kitchen remodel. --- Project designed by Montecito interior designer Margarita Bravo. At Velène Design House, we revived the home’s vintage charm, balancing original mid‑century elements, like stone fireplaces and wood paneling, with clean, contemporary lines, subtle traditional touches, and thoughtful textures. A renovation opens up the space in this Marietta, GA farmhouse kitchen. A mix of industrial, farmhouse chic, and modern open shelving bring this space to life. Accented with a classic white subway tile backsplash by Specialty Tile Products in 3x6's with a contrasting gray grout for a modern look and ease of use. Bringing the subway tile up the wall to meet the reclaimed heart pine shelving gives this kitchen a truly vintage 1920's industrial feel. The dark walls, ceiling and motorized blackout draperies help set the tone. The television wall was custom designed to conceal all the speakers, subwoofer and AV equipment behind twisted felt panels. All the high definition sound comes through without any distraction from visual clutter. The wall was custom design by Maven Interiors and the custom felt textile is by Moufelt.

Devon Grace Interiors designed a luxurious primary bathroom that features a grey double vanity with shaker style cabinetry doors. Ceramic wall tile, quartz countertops and backsplash, and brass wall-mounted faucets add natural textures and warmth to the space.

They wanted a home that represented their simple and sophisticated style that would still function as a livable space for their children.
