Casework Inter DesignAlpine, funk, gezellig - these words drove the design direction of this modern ski chalet.
To emphasize the high ceilings and huge windows, a simple color palette of a custom black, white and whitewashed wood were incorporated, along with calculated hits of color and pattern. A reverse floor plan, with the kitchen and living room on the third floor, highlight the importance of the two spaces where the family spends most of their time together. Here, windows surround the space on all four sides providing ample natural light. A large, stoic fireplace is balanced with a not so basic Ikea sectional covered in a playful, funky, custom designed fabric based off of a 16th century Dutch painting.
Function and durability reign supreme in the entrance and bedrooms, where rubber flooring was used for use with wet snow gear and bunks were installed for ultimate sleepover and mountain vibes. Through layered textures, a high contrast palette and unconventional design elements, this ski chalet is anything but ordinary.

Regan Baker Design Inc.Hired by the owners to provide interior design services for a complete remodel of a mid-century home in Berkeley Hills, California this family of four’s wishes were to create a home that was inviting, playful, comfortable and modern. Slated with a quirky floor plan that needed a rational design solution we worked extensively with the homeowners to provide interior selections for all finishes, cabinet designs, redesign of the fireplace and custom media cabinet, headboard and platform bed. Hues of walnut, white, gray, blues and citrine yellow were selected to bring an overall inviting and playful modern palette. Regan Baker Design was responsible for construction documents and assited with construction administration to help ensure the designs were well executed. Styling and new furniture was paired to compliment a few existing key pieces, including a commissioned piece of art, side board, dining table, console desk, and of course the breathtaking view of San Francisco's Bay.

Nar Design GroupThis home remodel is a celebration of curves and light. Starting from humble beginnings as a basic builder ranch style house, the design challenge was maximizing natural light throughout and providing the unique contemporary style the client’s craved.
The Entry offers a spectacular first impression and sets the tone with a large skylight and an illuminated curved wall covered in a wavy pattern Porcelanosa tile.
The chic entertaining kitchen was designed to celebrate a public lifestyle and plenty of entertaining. Celebrating height with a robust amount of interior architectural details, this dynamic kitchen still gives one that cozy feeling of home sweet home. The large “L” shaped island accommodates 7 for seating. Large pendants over the kitchen table and sink provide additional task lighting and whimsy. The Dekton “puzzle” countertop connection was designed to aid the transition between the two color countertops and is one of the homeowner’s favorite details. The built-in bistro table provides additional seating and flows easily into the Living Room.
A curved wall in the Living Room showcases a contemporary linear fireplace and tv which is tucked away in a niche. Placing the fireplace and furniture arrangement at an angle allowed for more natural walkway areas that communicated with the exterior doors and the kitchen working areas.
The dining room’s open plan is perfect for small groups and expands easily for larger events. Raising the ceiling created visual interest and bringing the pop of teal from the Kitchen cabinets ties the space together. A built-in buffet provides ample storage and display.
The Sitting Room (also called the Piano room for its previous life as such) is adjacent to the Kitchen and allows for easy conversation between chef and guests. It captures the homeowner’s chic sense of style and joie de vivre.

Braswell Design+BuildThe new white bead-board ceiling and wood floors in the kitchen match that of the family room, creating a natural continuity of parallel lines between rooms. The winding veins in the gray and white granite, used as both counter and backsplash, create a subtle and beautiful contrast to the strong lines of the white cabinetry. The brushed nickel hardware and faucets offer shiny, modern accents, and the custom X detail on interior lit cabinets provide a striking focal point for this lovely, duo-tone kitchen. Mod SurroundsSimply beautiful concrete, natural stone veneer and low maintenance, architectural plants work together. The landscape on this new home construction was last and final priority leaving little in the budget for it's completion. Not a problem for a clean, contemporary landscape! The clean lines and subtle texture of gray colored concrete contrasts the softness of perfect grass. Grass that doesn't need mowing, edging or watering and never dies in cold winter months. Walking on it is close to walking on a carpet. Sound too perfect? Has to be man made and indeed it is. Synthetic turf grass has come a long way in the last several years.

Laurel Wreath HomesFull renovation for this Primary Bathroom. Re-worked the floor plan to create a larger walk-in shower space with custom glass enclosure. Designed a custom wooden vanity with plenty of storage, with a subtly veined quartz countertop. Free standing bathtub is surrounded by a half wall of paneling, painted in a light and bright color scheme. Neutral tile installed on bathroom floor and shower walls, with a coordinating penny tile on the shower floor and niches. Textured bamboo roman shades and floating shelves were installed for contrast and mixed and matched black and gold hardware for detail.
