This modern farmhouse located outside of Spokane, Washington, creates a prominent focal point among the landscape of rolling plains. The composition of the home is dominated by three steep gable rooflines linked together by a central spine. This unique design evokes a sense of expansion and contraction from one space to the next. Vertical cedar siding, poured concrete, and zinc gray metal elements clad the modern farmhouse, which, combined with a shop that has the aesthetic of a weathered barn, creates a sense of modernity that remains rooted to the surrounding environment.
The Glo double pane A5 Series windows and doors were selected for the project because of their sleek, modern aesthetic and advanced thermal technology over traditional aluminum windows. High performance spacers, low iron glass, larger continuous thermal breaks, and multiple air seals allows the A5 Series to deliver high performance values and cost effective durability while remaining a sophisticated and stylish design choice. Strategically placed operable windows paired with large expanses of fixed picture windows provide natural ventilation and a visual connection to the outdoors.

Light and Airy shiplap bathroom was the dream for this hard working couple. The goal was to totally re-create a space that was both beautiful, that made sense functionally and a place to remind the clients of their vacation time. A peaceful oasis. We knew we wanted to use tile that looks like shiplap. A cost effective way to create a timeless look. By cladding the entire tub shower wall it really looks more like real shiplap planked walls.

Alcove shower - mid-sized contemporary kids' gray tile and porcelain tile porcelain tile and gray floor alcove shower idea in Atlanta with flat-panel cabinets, dark wood cabinets, a one-piece toilet, gray walls, an integrated sink, quartzite countertops and a hinged shower door

Sumptuous deco style in black and white mosaic. The penchant for impressive bathrooms with just a hint of flamboyance is timeless. After all, if you can't have a look with pizzazz in your own bathroom, where can you? Equally perfect on kitchen walls these glazed ceramic tiles are a cost effective option when creating statement making interiors.

The homeowner of this old, detached garage wanted to create a functional living space with a kitchen, bathroom and second-story bedroom, while still maintaining a functional garage space. We salvaged hickory wood for the floors and built custom fir cabinets in the kitchen with patchwork tile backsplash and energy efficient appliances. As a historical home but without historical requirements, we had fun blending era-specific elements like traditional wood windows, French doors, and wood garage doors with modern elements like solar panels on the roof and accent lighting in the stair risers. In preparation for the next phase of construction (a full kitchen remodel and addition to the main house), we connected the plumbing between the main house and carriage house to make the project more cost-effective. We also built a new gate with custom stonework to match the trellis, expanded the patio between the main house and garage, and installed a gas fire pit to seamlessly tie the structures together and provide a year-round outdoor living space.

Treatment For Residential Waste water
Every home generates wastewater and while there is no way of getting away from this fact, it is good to know that there are quite a few options when it comes to treating residential wastewater.
The traditional septic tank
For a very long time, the septic tank ruled the roost when it came to residential water treatment. This tank is a fairly simple construction and is very widely used. It relies on the sedimentation process to deal with residential wastewater.
Sometimes the septic tank can be boosted in its processes with the use of:
• Flocculates.
• Chemical inputs.
• Patented or proprietary technology and so on.
Use of chemical methods
Processes such as chlorination have emerged as cost effective methods to treat wastewater. At the heart of the following processes is the use of a chemical agent and a chemical reaction to get the wastewater treated:
• Ion exchange.
• Adsorption.
• Chlorination.
• Use of polyvalent metals for coagulation and so on.
Biological processes
In a very unique wastewater treatment approach – bacteria are used to break down the components of wastewater! Of course there is a lot of science and research that has gone into these methods of treating wastewater. For instance, the use of a septic tank, as stated above is a biological, anaerobic method of treatment. Biological processes will also cater for destroying any disease causing organisms.
The combined approach
Residential wastewater is also treated with the use of a combination of methods. For instance, a device that uses an aerobic approach to wastewater treatment will also have mechanical components to get the process to be even more effective. It is critical to invest in a system that promises total – 100% - treatment of the wastewater.
If the residential wastewater is not treated comprehensively then the effluents can cause all kinds of health issues to the people in the property.
Effective systems
If you are scouting for a system to help in treating residential wastewater then you should know that there are systems that are sophisticated in their working. Flow equalization to ensure 100% treatment and the use of an internet based alarm system make such products very effective and energy efficient too.
It is also a good idea to check with your local sanitation authorities before investing in products so you can ensure you are compliant with all local health and public safety rules and regulations. For instance, using NSF certified systems can help in this regard.

If your family is like most American families, the kitchen is the heart of your home. It is where you gather for meals, to do homework, meet with friends, and, of course, sneak a midnight snack! Knowing that the kitchen is the center of your home, is the overall style what you want when entertaining? If the answer is no, but you don’t have the funds to do a complete renovation, you may be considering painting the kitchen cabinets. Here are three of the top benefits of making this choice.
A Face-Lift – Kitchen cabinets are most likely one of the first things people notice when they enter a kitchen, as they take up a majority of the wall space. So if they are drab, dated, worn, or darker than you prefer, you may want to consider brightening up your kitchen with a professional painting of not only the wall surfaces but also the kitchen cabinets. If your cabinets are in fairly good condition, there really is no need to replace, but rather have the experts bring back the shine and new look to your kitchen through paint.
Economical – Having a team of professionals remove, clean, sand, and paint your cabinet doors and the surrounding woodwork can be much more cost effective than a complete replacement of the cabinets. The average cost of revitalizing cabinets by painting is a fraction of the cost of both the labor and materials needed to replace the existing cabinets.
Time and Convenience – Not only is the cost a factor when deciding whether to replace or rejuvenate your cabinets, but time and convenience should be considered as well. For most contractors, gutting and replacing cabinets will take approximately 3-6 weeks and will mean losing your kitchen during that time. In a fraction of the time, usually less than a week, your kitchen can look like new with a paint color that you have chosen.
