E_ DesignsThis South Minneapolis 1922 Bungalow,was ready for an update bath. Staying true the original charm of the home, the homeowners were looking for elements with character. Handcrafted tiles from a past Mpls art fair designed by a local artist directed the design of the space. With such a small bath, a small wall hung sink was selected to create the image of more space and to show off the flooring. A new tub and Kohler plumbing fixtures were installed in oil rubbed bronze finish. Marble tile flooring was selected in a floweret pattern and was framed with a coordinating marble border. Ceramic mint green tiles designed to resemble handmade tiles were installed on the walls and shower and trimmed with an oil rubbed bronze finished end. Overall, the new bathroom blends in nicely with the Arts & Crafts home and decor and will be enjoyed by the family for many years to come.

TIMOTHY FULLER architectsThe house you see is the result of an extensive remodeling/renovation. It was originally built in the early 1900’s our client grew up in this house and was returning to it as his father was moving on to an assisted living facility. Ben Quie, of Ben Quie and Sons, asked me to help these clients: revive and re-invision this house for their own particular needs and lifestyle. It turned out to be a fairly whole-scale transformation on the main level, moving a stairway that was inconveniently located and ill conceived, enlarging the kitchen, provide for a mudroom/laundry room and added a family sitting area off of the living room. The upstairs remained more intact but we added a bath of the couples room and reworked a number of closets. The lower level was also finished out with a hobby room and an area for television viewing. This was a fun project and made special by both the superb craftsmanship of Ben and his crew and the enthusiastic involvement of our clients.

Petit Construction, Inc.I built 5 of these "Coat & Key Racks" based on an idea I had seen at craft fair in Knoxville TN that only had doorknobs for a coat hook. Since everyone usually leaves there coats and keys at the door, I decided to add a place for keys.
I cut a solid wood door into 5 sections and added a small shelf on top. Then I installed my porcelain doorknob collection and my antique key collections. The "key holes" are solid brass & were purchased online. They were given as gifts to my family members.

Castle Building & RemodelingOur clients came to us with a desire to expand what was a fairly small kitchen in a large 1977 home. Many of the main living spaces were unused, so the existing kitchen and former dining room were combined into a new, large kitchen that includes 2 large walnut topped islands, a bar area, and an organizational area for mail and crafts. What was created was a room that allows the family to cook, entertain and play all in one area. The amount of storage space in this kitchen was fully maximized through custom pantry cabinets, pull out accessories and more. The perimeter cabinets were topped off with beautiful, classic Cambria quartz counters that resemble marble – a finish that fits perfectly into this traditionally styled home. The traditional style was played up through unique cement tiles, subway tiles, wired glass cabinet door inserts, a farm style sink, and oil rubbed bronze finishes. The appliances were a definite upgrade as well, reusing the single oven in the island and adding a large 36” range. In the end, this show-stopping kitchen is now a family friendly oasis for everyone from the cooks to the kids.

Emily Roose InteriorsAn eco-friendly and sustainable home office remodel that focused on natural materials and wellness. The custom desk is a sit to stand to allow for flexibility for small to large tasks. The walls are covered in a natural upholstered midnight blue cork wallpaper, the lighting is LED and made from sustainable woods, the desk top also made from eco-friendly and low VOC porcelain product, and the custom Roman shades made from natural materials that add a fun pop to the space. Even the desk chair is made of FSC wood, eco-friendly materials, and fair trade practices.
