Conceived more similar to a loft type space rather than a traditional single family home, the homeowner was seeking to challenge a normal arrangement of rooms in favor of spaces that are dynamic in all 3 dimensions, interact with the yard, and capture the movement of light and air. As an artist that explores the beauty of natural objects and scenes, she tasked us with creating a building that was not precious - one that explores the essence of its raw building materials and is not afraid of expressing them as finished. We designed opportunities for kinetic fixtures, many built by the homeowner, to allow flexibility and movement. The result is a building that compliments the casual artistic lifestyle of the occupant as part home, part work space, part gallery. The spaces are interactive, contemplative, and fun. This open-concept living space is the epitome of modern living, where the kitchen and living room merge seamlessly to create an expansive and interactive environment. We created a kitchen island/peninsula with eat-in bar by demolishing the wall separating kitchen and living room. The kitchen is much brighter and open now, and our client can entertain and interact with their guests while preparing meals!

Georgia Coast Design & Construction - Southern Living Custom Builder Showcase Home at St. Simons Island, GA Built on a one-acre, lakefront lot on the north end of St. Simons Island, the Southern Living Custom Builder Showcase Home is characterized as Old World European featuring exterior finishes of Mosstown brick and Old World stucco, Weathered Wood colored designer shingles, cypress beam accents and a handcrafted Mahogany door. Inside the three-bedroom, 2,400-square-foot showcase home, Old World rustic and modern European style blend with high craftsmanship to create a sense of timeless quality, stability, and tranquility. Behind the scenes, energy efficient technologies combine with low maintenance materials to create a home that is economical to maintain for years to come. The home's open floor plan offers a dining room/kitchen/great room combination with an easy flow for entertaining or family interaction. The interior features arched doorways, textured walls and distressed hickory floors.

The outdoor area is a menagerie of intimate moments such as the firepit and gazebo — all of which work together to create a larger, highly interactive experience.

This young family needed to be able to open up their home to allow for the way they live. I removed the wall between the kitchen and dining area in order to create an open floor plan. Small cutouts were also made on each side of the range wall to allow the cook to interact with the family room in the lower level of the home. The space used to be a small kitchen area with eat in space. By removing the eating area and building in a large island table, I was able to almost double the cabinet storage. The sink was relocated to under a new centered window. A large step in pantry was also able to be added for more storage.

The emphasis for this recent Ray Morrow Design / Build project in Irvine California was to create an environment that offered a very clean sophisticated feel and yet is still infused with textures and interactive relatable spaces. Within this modest sized yard there are multiple built in amenities : Cooking and Outdoor Dining / Bar space , Communal Fire Pit and relaxation area , Thematic Fountains in two separate zones , Combination Raised Patio Area with Contemporary Style Open Beam Structure , Presenting a perfect mixed use space for entertaining , in addition to the custom hardscape elements , This yard also showcases a harmonious plant palette with generous space to mature and embrace the permanent build in venues.

A continuous line (Desk) creates the illusion of a bigger room and also guides the visitor to go thru the story created in the Interactive 3D panel. Every day when the families walk into this room and sees first -hand the Design created for them it provides an experience that I believe be essential for the well being of these guests. The idea that after a long day in the hospital they can come back to the Ronald McDonald House where volunteers and staff interact and generously provide a warm welcome environment that strength their souls in such a difficult time is priceless. We worked with Brooke Lichtenstein and Yiannos Vrousgos who are also alumni from the New York School of Interior Design. Today they lead the Company Input Creative Studio which differs for its conceptualization and creativity behind each project. While we were in the Design Process of this project me and my team had meetings to combine all the ideas together into one final IDEA. We decided to create a room that creates a affect of being embraced and secured.
