This was a complete remodel of a 90's master bathroom. The new layout allows for a larger shower, a free standing tub, a wall hung vanity, and contemporary elements. Repetition of the in wall niches and 'waterfall' edges gives this room unique architectural elements. The clean lines of these white subway tiles make the curvature of the black tile framed mirror stand apart. The marble shelf, a detail designed to provide additional countertop and storage space in this small bathroom, also compliments the marble sink and the polished chrome faucet that accents the flicks of gray seen in the surrounding marble. We updated the master bathroom, by opening up the former 3-wall shower and taking down the half wall separating the toilet. The tall vertical accent bands, in the shower and behind the toilet enhance the 8' ceiling height. It feel like this 8' x 14' room doubled in size, thanks to the glass frameless shower enclosure, the sleek freestanding tub and the light colors. Design Dilemma: Our clients needed a place to store their beautiful bass and their extensive collection of books and records. Solution - We transformed this unused corner in the great room into a beautiful and functional storage space. Using a subtle instrument rack so the client could easily remove the bass to play, we were able to showcase the bass as a work of art and make it a focal point in the space. With complimenting colors, this entertainment space is just as enjoyable to look at as it is to be in. The dark tones warm up the space and can be seen throughout in accent pieces and the large wooden media stand that the TV has been mounted on.
