Inspiration for a contemporary home design remodel in Denver

Manufacturer of custom recycled glass counter tops and landscape glass aggregate. The countertops are individually handcrafted and customized, using 100% recycled glass and diverting tons of glass from our landfills. The epoxy used is Low VOC (volatile organic compounds) and emits no off gassing. The newest product base is a high density, UV protected concrete. We now have indoor and outdoor options. As with the resin, the concrete offer the same creative aspects through glass choices. Owner had backsplash crushed into countertop recycling the glass tile into the Master Bath.

Dramatic plant textures, modern hardscaping and sharp angles enhanced this mid-century modern bungalow. Soft plants were chosen to contrast with the sharp angles of the pathways and hard edges of the MCM home, while providing all-season interest. Horizontal privacy screens wrap the front porch and create intimate garden spaces – some visible only from the street and some visible only from inside the home. The front yard is relatively small in size, but full of colorful texture.

The formality of the front entry is deconstructed on the walking paths by echoing the pavers as an edging and crushed gravel as the main path surface. Perennials and woody shrubs alike flank the walk, spilling over the border, enhancing the charm of the garden. Photography by: Joe Hollowell
