The homeowners collaborated with Schulte Design Build to design and transform their kitchen into a more functional standout space for their family’s growing needs. This large multi-space was designed to be a light, open, and vibrant space for cooking, eating, and studying, as well as an easy place for family and friends to gather. The dark wood cabinets were replaced with ceiling-height white shaker cabinets, a long island was added to the length of the space, and the lighting was reconfigured to highlight the new task areas. A black countertop that now lines the walls to create contrast for the perimeter, while the new marble herringbone backsplash adds a unique spin on the traditional subway tile. The clients are thrilled with the results!

An early-season storm hit Farragut on April 10, 2026, bringing hailstones from one inch to nearly two inches across. This home's roof was already near the end of its service life, and the hail finished it off. Heavy granule loss, nail pops, and dented gutters and downspouts told the whole story. A Smith Roofing team member noticed the damage while driving through the neighborhood and stopped to let the homeowner know. The homeowner worked with their insurance carrier, and after a few weeks the claim was settled and work began. After tear-off, the deck looked good. The replacement was proactive rather than catching active leaks. The homeowners chose Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingles in Peppercorn for the deeper, multi-tone look with a more textured, current feel. New ridge vents and lifetime pipe flashings went on with the roof. To finish, six-inch oversized gutters in Musket Brown were added to match the paint on the entry columns and window trim. The result fits right in with the neighborhood's warm, earth-tone palette.

Brian & Julie’s Master Bathroom vanity wasn’t working for them any longer. This multi-level top caused unusable space on the countertop. By reconfiguring the cabinet layout, we inverted the sink base to feature a full usable drawer Under the sink cavity. This new vanity design gives them 6 larger drawers. The quartz countertop is from Arizona Tile called Bianco Levanto with the updated undermount sinks and new sinks this bathroom meets what Brian and Julie needed. Their shower also needed repair. The shower walls were showing their age and the tub/shower wasn’t working for them any longer. Bath products were taking over their space. This new two tiled shower is bright, current and gives them a contrast that is beautiful yet subtle. The back upper wall features a tile called Themar Bianco Lasa. This collection has a modern striation of grey that compliments the sides and lower back wall tile is Lagos light grey. Both tiles are 12X24 and can be found at Arizona tile. The niche tile is a little pop of playful and allows for the eye to gravitate upwards.

The homeowner wanted to “refresh” his current backyard waterfront oasis. For the retaining walls, the homeowner wanted a “new” look, something different in a multi-piece system with colors to accentuate the house and landscaping. The retaining wall product had to be flexible enough to go above-grade, turn curves, do 90 degree corners, build columns and create steps. The homeowner chose the Allan Block 4-Piece Ashlar wall in the Quarry Ridge Blend color manufactured by Titan Block and sold through Florida Silica Sand. The total backyard renovation included the complete demo of an existing swimming pool, retaining walls, walkways, planters and reconstruction of a brand new swimming pool, retaining walls, planters and pavers – not just your basic renovation. The main objective from the homeowner was to create large areas for backyard entertainment. Not just your standard backyard Bar-B-Q, but events that could accommodate a band, dance floor, fire pit, outdoor grill, outdoor fireplace and have a large enough paved area for equipment to maintain the rare and expensive palm trees. This Transitional Farmhouse Kitchen was completely remodeled and the home is nestled on the border of Pasadena and South Pasadena. Our goal was to keep the original charm of our client’s home while updating the kitchen in a way that was fresh and current. Our design inspiration began with a deep green soapstone counter top paired with creamy white cabinetry. Carrera marble subway tile for the backsplash is a luxurious splurge and adds classic elegance to the space. The stainless steel appliances and sink create a more transitional feel, while the shaker style cabinetry doors and schoolhouse light fixture are in keeping with the original style of the home. Tile flooring resembling concrete is clean and simple and seeded glass in the upper cabinet doors help make the space feel open and light. This kitchen has a hidden microwave and custom range hood design, as well as a new pantry area, for added storage. The pantry area features an appliance garage and deep-set counter top for multi-purpose use. These features add value to this small space. The finishing touches are polished nickel cabinet hardware, which add a vintage look and the cafe curtains are the handiwork of the homeowner.
