THE SETUP Once these empty nest homeowners decided to stay put, they knew a new kitchen was in order. Passionate about cooking, entertaining, and hosting holiday gatherings, they found their existing kitchen inadequate. The space, with its traditional style and outdated layout, was far from ideal. They longed for an elegant, timeless kitchen that was not only show-stopping but also functional, seamlessly catering to both their daily routines and special occasions with friends and family. Another key factor was its future appeal to potential buyers, as they’re ready to enjoy their new kitchen while also considering downsizing in the future. THE RENEWED SPACE The new kitchen exceeded every expectation, thrilling the clients with its revitalized, expansive design and thoughtful functionality. The transformation brought to life an open space adorned with marble accents, a state-of-the-art steam oven, and the seamless integration of the Galley Dresser, crafting a kitchen not just to be used, but to be cherished. This is more than a culinary space; it’s a new heart of their home, ready to host countless memories and culinary adventures.

This space is perfect for entertaining! When the owners originally moved in, this deck was not here. There were several steps down from the kitchen door, and the stone slabs were a toe-stubbing minefield. We added the deck and designed it perfectly for entertaining. Since we had several large pine trees removed from the property, we increased sun exposure creating a need for more shade. We had this awning custom made by PJ Canvas in Santa Rosa, CA. The awning tucks neatly under the roof of the house during the rainy months.

Inspiration for a contemporary kitchen remodel in Seattle

This outdoor living area was a new build and needed protection from the sun. The Sunbrella shading is stationary and attached to the structure with stainless steel hardware. Designs by Dian fabricated and installed the shading. All custom pillows were fabricated by Designs by Dian.

San Francisco, CA - This modern style home was recently completed in Northern California. Beautiful clean lines run through the home's exterior with the beautiful wooden siding and large rectangular windows at the front. The custom-made garage doors were manufactured in a minimalistic design with flush panels and minimal lines. Finished in a dark bronze just like the window frames throughout the house pulled the entire home's curb appeal together into a majestic modern marvel. The modern garage doors were handmade out of eco-friendly composite materials that will prevent bowing or splitting in the future. As you drive up to the residence one of the focal points of the home's exterior elevation are the garage doors with all their simplicity and smooth texture. Whether the material is copper, zinc, stainless or carbon steel, Runa Novak from In Your Space, Interior Design can provide the perfect solution for all of your custom designed kitchen needs For this project, Runa chose to design a custom hood to compliment the large wood cabinets and walnut island in a Colorado mountain home. The end result, a zinc barrel hood with straps and rivets, was featured in Colorado Homes and Lifestyle Magazine for their special kitchen issue in Sept/Oct 2013. The kitchen is splendid with knotty alder custom cabinets, handmade peeled bark legs were crafted to support the chiseled edge granite. A hammered copper farm sink compliments the custom copper range hood while the slate backsplash adds color. Barstools from Old Hickory, also with peeled bark frames are upholstered in a casual red and gold fabric back with brown leather seats.
