Beautiful project. Just wondering -- is the stone around the fire pit real or faux? Thank you!

Fire it total diameter is 5ft. the walls of the fire pit are 8" thick. The distance from the seat wall is 2ft. Thank you so much for the nice complement :)

We live in Charlotte, NC. Trying to have this completed before spring, which for us would be late March, early April.

Did one in MD -- awesome! Use year round. To keep expenses down, have gas lines and drains put in before the concrete/flagstone.

It really depends on the materials, scale, location, etc.. A DIYer with some help could do it as low as $25,000 or if all contracted it out with midrange materials: over a hundred k.

The stone work of the custom fireplace, oven, and bench as well as the exterior stone and custom lighting is what makes it very pricey. To cut costs, do a flagstone sitting area with wooden or movable seating, a wood fire pit, and gas grill under the eaves.
