Since this room is the first thing you see when you enter the home, it needed to be striking and project a gracious mood that was both stylish and comfortable and just a tad unexpected. So, NOT a room of brown furniture. The table had to be the gathering place for the family and so the choice of a large round trestle table in a light finish made the most sense. Adding tailored chairs with dressmaker details gave a little fashion flare to the room. Brass and metal became the other element that unified the design. A graphic brown and white carpet brought the space together nicely. The large cream matte around the small images of the art is as important as the image itself as it provides contrast with the dark walls and a clean, contemporary feel. I liked the mix of a traditional brass framed mirror with the more contemporary art. Other art not seen in the pictures are colorful abstracts.

This Dining Room is the perfect space to entertain the most eloquent of guests. From its a navy-blue tuxedo chairs to its floor to ceiling drapery, this space exudes luxury. Gold accents in the chandelier and sculpture are the perfect pieces of jewelry for this well-groomed Dining Room.

Location: Spring Lake, NJ, US Our design goal for this renovation and addition was to present a modern interpretation of Colonial Plantation Style. This home features dark wood floors, wood paneling and a light soothing color scheme. The Dining Room features classic silk De Gournay Wallpaper which further fuses the indoor and outdoor seamlessness of the home. The amazing tile installations permeate the decor with color, texture and pattern. The shaker-style kitchen is refreshed by using black cabinetry, a custom stainless hood and La Cornue Range. We enjoyed adding vintage finds throughout - a farm table for the Kitchen, Bergere chairs in the Entry, and a Victorian Flower mirror in the Powder Room. threshold interiors ensures that your beach retreat is elegant, transitional and most importantly comfortable and relaxing! The color of the Dining Room was selected to create a sense of dining alfresco given the large bay window and dogwood tree immediately outside.
