This residential wine cellar in California was constructed under our client's house. Here's a nice view of it from outside. This unique space, an underground, under the house custom wine cellar built by Vintage Cellars, truly showcases the ability to transform any unused space in the house into a magnificent wine room, no matter what the size. This wine cellar utilized dark stain on the Walnut racking to further increase the underground cellar feel. Jake at Vintage Cellars along with the owners of the home collaborated to create multiple spaces within the wine cellar itself- an area for bottle storage as well as a separate wine room space for decanting and pouring wine, as well as social get-togethers. Within the social wine room, a credenza style cabinet has been utilized for white wine and champagne storage. A credenza cabinet, or any wine refrigerator or wine cabinet such as this is a perfect option to keep your whites and champagnes at a cooler temperature, ready for serving to guests anytime. This custom wine cellar in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California posed a challenge for our wine cellar builders. Building a custom wine cellar requires a keen eye for detail. The floor and ceiling were not even in this wine room, and so extra effort was required to ensure that the custom wine racks, flooring and the like were properly fitted. As you can see, the wine cellar builders were successful in their endeavor; this large wine cellar turned out fantastic! So much open horizontal storage was used due to cement footings for the house. Every inch of racking was designed at specifics depths to accommodate the different wall depths. This incredible construction and engineering feat of a custom wine cellar involved the homeowner completely digging out the space by hand under the ground of their garage. The space was then excavated and re-covered and sealed to appear as if nothing had ever happened. Inside the house, A stone archway and corridor, covering a rustic and ornate staircase leads down into the underground custom wine cellar. The stairs also have a counterweight feature in which they completely lift vertically half way down the staircase to reveal another small storage space. Not for wine, but what a cool feature! Upon entering this large walk in wine cellar, stone archways welcome you into a dimly lit social space, surrounded by thousands of incredible bottles of burgundy, bordaux, napa vally cabernets and the like. Stone surrounds the custom designed wine racking arches. On the left side of the entrance, there is a gorgeous mosaic of wine grapes and leaves in a somewhat abstract fashion. The gorgeous marble countertop underneath with a Rogar wine bottle opener remains as a perfect place to open and decant wine to let breathe. The main room in the rustic wine cellar features individual and double bottle storage, stone and unfinished walnut archways, and high reveal display rows wrapping throughout. The stone walls, torch-like lighting fixtures and the stunning old world style chandelier creates a true feeling that this Huntington Beach / Newport Beach wine cellar is actually inside of an old castle. Upon turning the corner into the next wine storage space, you are greeted by walls of library style, floor to ceiling, double deep wine racking with a high reveal display row at waist level. This section of the vintage rustic wine cellar also has a library ladder, ensuring that every bottle can be reached with ease. The homeowners intelligently collaborated with Vintage Cellars to create a smart wine cellar design with room for social gatherings, as well as a back corridor featuring their most prized wines and champagnes. The unique underground location of this medieval farmhouse style wine cellar also assists greatly in maintaining a constant cool temperature and humidity. The glass double doors look into the handsome custom wine cellar adjacent to the "Man Cave". The recessed ceiling provides an added dimension to the otherwise square room. A clear coated Mahogany wood was used to build the custom wine cellar. Due to the owners needs to store various wine bottle sizes, many different elements were included in the racking to hold 1100 bottles. A wood louver was built to hide the climate control air handler split system above the door. A high reveal display angle surrounds the room and is lit with rope lighting. The arch in the back of the room includes a front load stemware holder on either side with a stone countertop just above the drawer for decanting. Wood case pullouts allow for easy access to special case wines. Both corners of the room include void bottle bins from floor to ceiling as well as diamond bins to accommodate all bottle sizes. For the Dining Room, we used Halcyon Green (SW6213) to pull out the more green color from our wallpaper. Homearama 2016: Foyer & Lounge. In order to create some variety between these two spaces, we added a touch of orange to the Lounge while still using those soft green/blues to tie back to the Foyer.

Custom Cabinets for Home Bar can be fun as well as a practical feature in your living space. These custom cabinets can be a balance between large celebrations to smaller, more intimate events. Designing your home bar cabinetry starts with knowing if you want a wet bar or dry bar. A wet bar is equipped with a sink and running water. A dry bar can be used when there is no plumbing for a sink. You should include plenty of storage – as much as your space will allow. Cabinetry can include a combination of drawers, shelves and pullouts to increase the storage capacity, along with a stemware holder. In addition for space for bottles and drink mixing ingredients, there needs to be a space to keep utensils, glassware and other bar accessories. A touch of Paris was the inspiration for the design of our client's 1957 pool bungalow. Being a single female executive she was excited to have us to incorporate the right amount of femininity. Pink is on trend right now and we thought this was the perfect project to use soft hues and pair it with shades of gray and teal. It was important to the client to preserve some of the history of the home. We loved the idea of doing this while coordinating it with modern, clean-line furniture and decor pieces. The main living area needed to serve multiple purposes, from seating for entertaining and relaxing while watching TV alone. Selecting a curved sofa helped maximized seating while lending itself to the client's goal of creating a feminine space. The hardwood floors were refinished to bring back their original charm. The artwork and oversized French mirror were a nod to the Paris inspiration. While the large windows add great natural light to the room, they also created the design challenge for TV placement. To solve this, we chose a modern easel meant to hold a TV. Hints of brass and marble finish the room with a glitzy flare. We encountered a second design challenge directly off the living room: a long, narrow room that served no real purpose. To create a more open floor-plan we removed a kitchen wall and incorporated a bar area for entertaining. We furnished the space with a refinished vintage art deco buffet converted to a bar. Room styling included vintage glasses and decanters as well as a touch of coastal art for the home's nearness to the beach. We accented the kitchen and bar area with stone countertops that held the perfect amount of pinks and grays in the veining. Our client was committed to preserving the original pink tile in the home's bathroom. We achieved a more updated feel by pairing it with a beautiful, bold, floral-print wallpaper, a glamorous mirror, and modern brass sconces. This proves that demolition isn't always necessary for an outdated bathroom. The homeowner now loves entertaining in her updated space

Silver, faux finished walls with bronze flecks perfectly summarize the balance of warm and cool in this glamorous, transitional dining room. At the center of the room sits a pedestal table stained a high gloss espresso. Ivory, tufted leather chairs surround the table and rest atop a wool rug in a mélange of copper. On the metallic silver wall hangs a sunburst mirror in antique brass. A vintage bar cart lounges below the mirror and is filled with an assortment of glass and crystal decanters.

This photo shows that bottles displayed in a horizontal orientation with the labels facing out. For additional storage space for stemware and other accessories, we added cabinets and drawers in one side of the room. It also provides a great place for decanting and serving wine.
